Haha, I just figured it out while I was upstairs, I had changed my power management plan in Windows 7 from balanced to high performance. So went back disabled c1e, enabled the c3 etc, booted back into windows and adjusted my power plan. Everything works now, thanks for helping euonline.

I played with the c state options more, just disabling c1e and leaving c3/c6/c7 disabled works too. Its only c1e when it is enabled that is causing the squealing.

Thanks to euonline for pointing out turning off C1E in exchange for C3/C6/C7 gets rid of the buzzing noise. I thought that buzzing was just something I was going to have to get used to with DVID.

Is it the latest official BIOS that has Dynamic VID control guys?

Looks like a nice little feature to have.

Gives us something extra to play around with when overclocking!!!

The only thing I hate about updating my BIOS is the fact that I have to tweak all the settings again, and most of the times I find that the settings I had used with a previous BIOS don't tend to work for me, so I have to start all over again. . .

Try to make some pictures of the bios pages with your digital camera. It makes much easier to set up the new bios, maybe there will be some small differences but I can guarantee that the new DVID function is worthy.
