I like the idea of the frontpanel but be carefull not to make it too much hmm.. don't know how exactly to say this but I think it should be kept laconic and elegant. That "capella" word and red dots don't look like solid image right now imho

Thanks for the input man. I *kinda* see what you mean...but not well enough to improve the design. If it's not too much to ask can you elaborate a bit more? Do you mean it should be simplified a bit more? Any suggestions how I can do that, or which design elements I should reconsider?

Another idea: How about no lettering at all (though I'd like to keep them)?
