Charged3800z24 I like that rad. How many square inches?

Daveburt714 it may be a little high but I run the NB at 1.28 and the SB is on auto.

I don't want to push too hard (I need this board to last a few more months ), but I was wondering what you guys are using for chipset voltages...
Dave, just put a fan over the chipsetcooler and you'll be fine i'm sure. 06 only takes about 10 minutes at most.

I ran mine at auto for 340ht, i also tried maxing both NB and SB voltages and then back down 2 notches. Iirc it was 1.47V NB and 1.38V SB. It didn't get me a single more MHz though.

Like demonkey666 says, don't mix alu and copper in one loop!

If you do some searching you will find all copper car rads, that will be ok.

I remember long ago there was a guys here on XS using a car rad from a japanese car he bough brand new for very little money.

Or you could get the Mo-ra like Titan uses.

read what vapor said. about aluminum in that thread.

    a few things things here
    1. copper rads a solider together which means there its a small thermal difference there.
    2. aluminum is welded with aluminum, which means it's thermals are consistent threw out it.

I do think that Rad looks quite nice.

That's a mean result at those temps. Nicely dialed in. I am looking at the peak temps and the recovery times after the CPU test and everyone is able to step back down at an amazing rate. At about 47C in the CPU test it looks like you have pushed it about as far as it will go. At about 37C/CPU test peak it looks like chaged3800z24 and others could get just about 100Mhz more. 10C/Peak worth +100MHz. Interesting. Nice DRAM settings.

Whatever floats your boat mate but you won't see me using alu in my loop.

The examples i've seen speak for themselves, trust me, you don't want your loop to look like that.

    Beta, nice clocks mister!

    Beta, great run there.

That RAD is for my z24 project. I was wondering how it would perform on my PC lol. It would not be my permanent choice. I have another idea in mind if I get the time to finish it. Still going for the 24/7 setup. Which means it would have to perform in the summer aswell.

Thanks guys. My new "benching hd" (10 years old 20gb quantum fireball) with a fresh install of xp64 helped a lot

First off, Thanks for the tips on Chipset voltages guys...
I found the same thing you guys had, +.1 on the NB helped, anything more didn't offer anything and SB had no effect.

    Here's my best 17x HT run (247 x 17 x 11 x 11):

BTW: I'm back on my Crucial 1333 ram. A friend offered me $140 for those OCZ's and I needed the money anyway...
I'll buy some better stuff when I have more cash.

Here is my 10X run. I managed to get to 353. Like Daveburt, I found no additional benefit from more than +.1 nb. Also like Dave, I didn't have a registered copy of 3dmark Hmmm, have I mentioned that my name is Dave too

Ambient temp is 23C. In all runs, rad fans are at ~2200.

And a 17X run @ 250. Not sure why my 3dmark score wasn't higher, as I've beaten that at lower cpu speed. Also noticed after the fact that I forgot to click the memory tab on cpuz - but it's the same timings I've been using, and a 2750 cpunb. The 10X run, on the other hand, I had it below 1800.

I should add that the memory is at 1666 7-7-7-21-28-90 1T. Glad to see it hanging in there, since I know Ripjaws aren't optimal for AMD.

This was another run "on windows" (aka the window ledge), with -3c outside air.

    last desperate attempt for me

    263fsb with 17 multi

Done on the 1103 bios which does not support c3 but since it gave good fsb for c2(295)......I was able to squeeze some performance out of it. This is booted from bios, AOD does not work my temps are different becuse there is no idle time I boot from the bios and start 3dm06 while windows continue to load all the crap on this (my daily OS)

Great scores guys, this has been quite the adventure so far and prolly opened alot of peoples eyes into a more detailed understanding with whats going on with their particular system

That was strong Titan7171. What was the idle temp? I guess I’ll have to go back to the ice bucket to try and keep up with you?

    Thanks buddy!

widows said 12c but like I said this bios does not support c3 and the temps are higher than when I use a bios that does support c3. Theres a difference of about 7c between bioses I would say a supported bios would read 7-9c

I was up to 4.5ghz with 265fsb but 3dm06 kept crashing at the second cpu test
