    Good point on cleaning them.

However if your only using distilled water and a silver kill coil, do you ever need to?

Okay, I've used both brands, XSPC and EK. They both pay attention to detail and build a solid product IMHO.

For this rig I think most people would choose the EK. I honestly think you can not go wrong with either, because the end result will be a clean and amazing install. That said, with the choice of parts and the kind of build you have, it seems that the EK look more at home in this build. Although, with liquid in them they may look totally different. Also, you didn't give us a top down shot of the XSPC, so either you like the EK more or you want us to pick EK anyway. Finally, the XSPC have a slight angle to the fitting, so it is not symmetrical as is the rest of your build.

    Thanks for your input, Vinas!

Unless I'm misunderstanding which photo you are referring to when you say "top down shot of the XSPC", I see what you could possibly be referring to on my end even after clearing my cache several times.
Is it not loading for you? Let me know and I'll see what the problem could be.

I took a fair amount of time to make sure each team was presented as objectively as possible.
Same angle and lighting with equal number of pics for each team.
The poll was created with the sincere interest to see what folks preferred.

I'm currently leak testing and hope to have the res's be filled with liquid soon. We'll see how if this creates a substantial difference in appearance.

Okay, not sure what happened but it is loading now.

After seeing the top down shot I'm pretty torn between the two. I really like the XSPC birds eye view so much that if the top will be in a visible location once installed, I think the XSPC wins this competition. Looking at the angled output/input on the XSPC, it kinda fits the theme because of the arch it creates in the tubing. The tube curvature on the XSPC is just slightly more pronounced than with the EK. After sleeping on it I'm kinda on the fence, and I already voted for the EK, damn!

Well, maybe some liquid shots will help us decide which is best?

I've been out of it as of late due to some fever-like situation, but during a Nyquil induced stupor, I sketched a few designs for the side panel and created an idea for a logo. Go sick me.

I'll post me sketches later but I wanted to share the idea for a logo that I've been playing around with.

Started with what looked like chicken scratches:

Then thickened it up a bit and gave it a ring-like situation:

Darkened it up a bit. Ok a lot:

Made the "F" (yes. that's an "F") connect to the ring. Sorta like tubing kinda-sorta.

I was going to make the ring look like tubing and some compression fitting connecting the letters to the tubing, but it turned out to be too detailed for a logo.
That idea is still floating in my noggin and may manifests itself in the form of um...a fan grill? an artwork on the side panel? ...pizza with the works (what?).

Gave it some highlights and finger-combed in some mousse` for extra body and worked in some gel with a damp towel for sheen and blow: (I'm still on meds folks, sorry.)

Ooops. I meant "sheen and GLOW".

Decided that this was too 1337 speak:

Just to add some color to this dark, brooding, morbid post, we have happy, sun-shiny, baby friggin' blue:

Played around a bit with some textures and wording to get the feel of how the logo might look in the overalll design of the build:

Received some packages as well and will post pics of them soon.

I am currently leak testing, and swapping out more of the silver BP fittings for some of the cool black ones. I should have something post-worthy before the weekend breaks.

Until then, thanks for checking in, everybody!!

Hey, nice logo! But I think you should change F a bit, it is more like P to me now.

    Heya Cpt!
Have been away for a while and come back to see all those nice pictures
I was first going to vote for the XSPC res but when you posted the comparison I think the EK ones fit really good in with the whole design. My vote goes to the EK res!

The only thing I think can think of is to try black compression on the two blue tubes going into the bottom plate, might give it a more uniform look.

This is coming out so good, it's one of the best builds I've seen

PS, I'm still jealous at your nickel plated Heat Killer

Damm! I must say if you hadn't said that the last letter was a F, I would has been stuffed.
For simple people like me you might need to work on the "F" a tad more.
I do like the "voids-my-warranty constructions", very cool.

Also hope you get well soon to Flint.

Thanks for the get well wishes all!
I've been feeling better for a week now but have been playing catch up with all the pillaging and plundering I've been missing out on (work).
So after a week of mulling it over, I decided that I'm still deciding on the logo. (Translation: After a week, I'm still @ square 1.)

However, I'm totally feeling the jaggedness of the "B". Like totally.
So by changing the "F" (yes. that's still an "F"), to look more like a conventional "F" may reduce the whole situational "jaggedness" of it all.
Am I making sense or am I just spewing words in random order again?

I was going for a Swahilian/Japanese meets VooDoo-Pirate on grog situation. Er something.
Perhaps I just needed an excuse to say Swahilian.
It's a rather fun word to say. I say it to my niece in the Mortal Kombat voice all the time.

    "Swahilian Wins... Babality."

She's 11 months old and probably doesn't know what I'm saying from Adam, but damn that precious little girl loves it when I do the Elmo's song thing.
I don't usually gush at babies, but seriously this little girl is way adorable (not biased at all nope not me). Lala la la lala la la Elmo's song....

    Anyway.

GK is right...if you dim the lights just below the threshold of pitch dark, tilt your head, close one eye, squint with the other,
and look at it at an angle, there does appear to be a "P" situation going on in there.

All good. If it is mistaken for a "P", it would fittingly read "BP" and I'll have you know I'm actually taking the time to physically "finger quote" all the quotes I've typed so far.
    I should stop.
    I'd type so much "faster".

But aye. I have more BitsPower fittings in this colossal behemoth than you can poke a stick at (I have no idea what that means).

As much as I would like to post some kind of update tonight, I've been preoccupied with opening packages
that have been accumulating during my hiatus that can best be summed up in an old wedding gift giving custom:

I have received something old (a port hole), something new (MurderMod Floating Res Holder awesomeness),
something "borrowed" (a bottle of Virgin Island rum) something blue (acrylic sheets [amongst other colors]).

I'll be posting pics of the aforementioned as soon as time allows and continuing the updates as usual.
Stepping away from the system for awhile and reading some of your posts has made ideas hurl at me like..like... something that hurls towards you really really fast and stuff.

I think stepping away from the build for awhile has enabled me to be receptive to ideas that wouldn't usually present itself being so involved in the capacity and mindset of building. Get me kinda?

I sincerely appreciate the support you've all have given me!!!

Until then...Scorpion Wins. Flawless Victory. Fatality...
