RIIE doesn't need PCIe mods, it's the top-end OC board from Assus
I know a few people that can do 240+ on theirs, just mine can't. Tried playing with TRFC up to 110 or so, no change. I can run 211 with 10x dram so high dram speed/high uncore is not even a problem. I didn't really tweak the rtl settings since I don't know how to really, I do know is that other people who can run >230 on the RIIE didn't bother tweaking rtls either

If using the same RAM too, then it means only MB (Or maybe the BIOS?) is left as the limiting factor for BCLK?

How stable current the CPU is getting is vary dependent on MB, and will affect the high OC too, But on most i7-batches the IMC (and RAM) seams to be the biggest problem the stability of high BCLK >215.

well...215x21 run linx/prime95 no problems
216x21 I can't even open the cpu-z and ratio drops to x20 is it not weird?I don't need full stability if u know what I mean

Stability av RAM and IMC plays a big role in high BCLK, but some BIOS seams to have better default values (or/and better options to adjust stuff ..) to get the RAM and IMC stable at high BCLk.

what bios in your opinion is the best for max bclk?

like -40c low ? I bet any cpu can go over 220 on classified with enough cold. Thats the point I was making
