is 1.34 MCH Core a little high for 475FSB or it is normal? I'm also using 0.800 MCH Ref, I can pass prime95 fine @ 1.32v MCH Core but I has getting some crashes with games and after I bump the MCH to 1.34v no crashes.

Phsinc1, what strap and static tread value are you using?

Core i7 860 @ 3.80GHz, 1.28v | GA-P55A-UD4 | G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB DDR3 @ 1900MHz 7-9-8-24 1N, 1.57v | HIS HD 6950 2GB, 1536sp @ 900/1400, 1.10v | Samsung F3 500GB | Thermaltake 750W | Windows 7 64bit | Air

2.00D and PL9
Hmm would think you could get lower on MCH core with that loose strap and high PL. Though i've never tried the D strap so i couldn't say for sure. You should try use the 2.00B strap and PL8 if you haven't already, that seems standard for that FSB, and if you need more MCH to get that stable then quite frankly you haven't got the best of boards
Also, what prime95 test are you running? i'm guessing blend?

Yes prime blend stable 12h, do you think I should try 2.00B?
I wouldn't see why not, you SHOULD be able to get it stable with that strap, i was using it at 500FSB. Although i have the DDR3 ver so it could be quite different. I think you should wait for someone else to chime in who has the DDR2 board.

I am running my MCH core voltage at 1.48. I do not want to hear whining about how high your voltage isKidding. Seriously though, if it is running cool then run it at that voltage. If it isn't running cool, stick a fan on it. You should use what ever voltage you need to get everything stable period. I think I have the most
ty motherboard here but mine is running my Q9550 at 4.2GHz 24 / 7 so I am happy.
I have a fan directly blowing on my north bridge and my memory and everything is nice and cool at that voltage so.. I highly suggest putting a fan on the mosfets above the CPU as well. I seen a person post that their board died because their mosfets took a dump on them and this is probably why.. I touched mine the other day after benching and shutting mine down and if it was just a tiny bit hotter it would have blistered my finger no doubt about it. After putting a fan on them as well, they are nice and cool like they should be. Hope this helps.

Even on mobo's chipsets, there is low and high vid
I remember on my old UD3P, I needed 1.30v, this UD3R needs 1.34v same settings.
My mofsets fried on my old board as well, the ones under the smaller heatsink. It was either from too much intel burn test, or because i had watercooling so there wasn't much airflow over the components around the CPU... or most probably a combination of both :P

Exactly, the ones right above the CPU. I could totaly picture mine going out in a month or so if I hadn't caught the fact that they were scolding hot and put a fan on them. They are cool now after benching. It drops your CPU Load temps as well about 5 or 6C with a fan on them.

Ahh i might have to think about doing that then. Although i have dual 1800rpm fans on my TRUE and a 250mm fan at the top of my antec 900, so hopefully theres enough airflow over them.
I tried to RMA my old board but unfortunately it got rejected by scan. But because of their decent customer service they offered to send it off to gigabyte to get a replacement or repair on my behalf, nothing guaranteed though. Still waiting for news from them.
Here's a (crap) pic:
There was lots of smoke![]()

This has been happening to 1366 boards as well. Seems to me like who ever makes these Mosfets has put out a ton of bad ones.

Has anyone found a solution to booting from USB flash drives? Been trying to boot into a confirmed working Win7 installer on my 8GB flash drive. Tried all sorts of things and can't get it to work, I get a "Disk Read error, press CTRL-ALT-Del to restart" error. Thoughts?

so what bios does everyone think is the best for the UD3P rev1.0?
im still on F4 but the raid load screen is so slow.is it fixed in later bios's?
