Of course I'm not foolish enough to believe that ATI would release a nextgen card with such low performance.

But I can pretty much guarantee that there are people out there that saw the nordichardware article, thought "only 40% more then a 4870/90?" (even though that's not exactly what it said), and then felt a warming in their heart.
