You can buy 920 i7 right now for ~200-210$ with good u-atx x58 boards also costing not so much so i don't see what else 750 with no SMT can do to hurt AMD? AMD will keep pushing the cloks up and lowering the TDP on present models,plus we will have 6 core on desktop next year. IMO that's pretty much all they need to stay competitive in mid and mid-high segment of desktop. Thuban(hex core for DT) with no cold bug can help them probably grab a few more records next year in extreme OC conditions so they get some good press like they got from Deneb. And they will do all this with one generation of products that was gradually extended from dual to hex core(one K10.5 core inside Deneb Quad MPU is quite smallish so they kinda did the RV770 versus GT200,only in CPU world).
