That's not a bad vid, you will want to adjust the ref's. The right ref's will make a huge difference in stability. If it turns out to be a good oc'er your temps should be much cooler than with a very low vid cpu.

Well, didnt take long to get some CPU stability. At 1.21V I was gettting BSOD after 20sec in P95, just a bump up to 1.23V got me stable (for my purposes) in P95 smallFFTs. I'm feeling better about my chip now, as I hand picked it. I'm hoping it scales well with Voltage.

Very nice. Try adjusting the ref's a bit, with a default vtt of 1.20v try cpu ref at .785 and mch ref at .80 then raise vtt/cpu termination back up to where you need it.

have you found that to be an ideal gtl zone for your chip?

its actually 1.23, I hand picked the week batch hoping for a good clocker

Thanks OC Nub, Ill def give that a try! Are those GTLs good for any OC? Would I need to readjust them say at 4.4Ghz?

note: much higher load on the extreme than on the dq6

you guys are water/freezing water/phase/whatnot cooling and then youre telling me if i ever tried lower vtt

for air cooling higher vtt is what keeps it going

then again i guess im just a retard maxing voltages for no reason
I just ordered this board, the dq6. Did you do mod to reduce vdroop? I should get the board in tomorrow. Am excited to try something different.

Machinus how are you mate, from what i see you have my same vid of chip wich is great CPU Vcore [ 1.1875 ].

try to drop vtt to 1,20 and see that CPU ref is .785 and MCH .80, then up it and this values will change auto, for lots of us this worked perfect so for me tom and zucker2k...

start on a normal OC, like 445x9 ti try your CPU and MEM on 1:1 CL5 all auto, PL9 and trfc 68 (you have 2x2GB ???? wich RAM), try to find FIRST as stable point where you can start upping, dont start messing around with values and changing all at time and multis etc...go step by step or you will go crazy.

Use 800/800/0/50 or 900/900/0/50, i use 1000/1000/0/0 to 4800+ to bench the rest are for my 24/7

i will send you a template of my 445x9 and 500x8 so you have a start point, should work for ya as owr quads are close.

    Cheers
    Sergio
