I use the 120g vertex for win7, games, and daily use. The 640WD I use for vista, misc. storage and the 32g warp for xp and benching.

Is there any way to reduce the amount of mch voltage needed? I need 1.36 to get 475, but to get to 500fsb I need 1.46

Anybody have anything you want me to try with the Tridents? So far tried 400/2.66d=1333, 200/2.66c=1333, 2.66/2.50a=1250 all were no post. Auto settings.2.0v That was at 500fsb. I'll try droppin the multi and raisin the fsb some now. i'll also try to drop pl to 7 for the 333/2.40b=1200.

I thought the 2.66 strap was bugged (at least on mine and others). Try 333 or 400.

Dead. I put the pi 9600's in with them at 1000 1.9v, Pi's were tested stable at the lower voltage. No post with all 4 Dimms.. Now wont post with just tridents. Pi's still post fine. Maybe the 2.0 got em? I have an antec spot cool on them. Dunno. I wasnt that impressed b4 they died. Gonna get some more Pi's...

Yeah these LV are VERY sensible to volts specially when the Gigabyte board is known to overvolt mem's, I would say that 1.9v on BIOS is more like 2.0v on real world.

Stick with the 9600 PI's that can take 2.5v without breaking a sweet.

I finally got my other ssd for the xp install and so far its showing some nice gains in spi. The timings on the xp runs were a little tighter but were only about 1 sec better than the win7 timings. Later in the week I should be able to get some improved 5ghz 1m runs done.

OUCH! Damn, looks like those LV tridents are...just like what Jor3lBR said. Sensitive.

Yeah, the 9600 PI's look like they're still the best. Just like what Sergio said, no matter how much voltage you give it it, it could take it.

I'm trying CPU Term everywhere from 1.3-1.4v wiith CPU ref ~63% and MCH ref ~60% (at Ghostleader's recommendation), MCH 1.36-1.5v

I've gotten stable (Orthos for a hour) once at 505 FSB 4.05 GHz and 1212 MHz.

I have yet to get the RAM past 1240 without failing Memtest, Linpack, etc...

    Any ideas?

I fled to Core i7, but I'm back, missed the UD3P and my Q9650

Some quick testing with this chip I picked up at the MC for $169.99 + tax.

Too bad about the chip, it was a good chip. I received the pm and I'll try to see if I have any template saved that might be of help.

This is so much fun. There's no way this is prime stable (haven't tried yet), but I can get into XP and manage this with the 4.00B multiplier.

    wohoo !

Ofcourse there is a limit in the cheapest DDR2-800 Mem u can buy ! They were never bought to this build, but seemed OK for 4GHz+ with earlier 750i build...anyways:

4150MHz was 8hr+ P95 OK, but later gave error at 5 and 3hr mark...anything above it was a no go, resulting in meaningless tweaking. Had 2x 10hr P95 Blend runs at 4.1GHz (mem 912MHz), and last I could lower vcore to 1.3375v, FSB 1.28(65%ref), NB 1.28v(auto ref) - lower NB and FSB tip by LSDMEASAP

so...I AM happy with 4.1GHz...1.296v load is also helping .....mem is maxxed out...but, should I go DDR-9200/9600? there are OCZ Blades and GSKILL @ 1,8v...I could perhaps get 4.25Ghz with 1.368v bios...but that would be 2.4x mem ratio

Happy or super happy? cost is 100 euros...but G.SKILL are not sold in my country, OCZ Blades arrive in september....

EDIT/// Re evaluate your music! Found Eddie Hazel from '71, rocks Hendrix soxx off -Maggot Brain....all brit gtr players sound this, so does Buckethead in particular. Like it, alooooot

10hr P95 Blend, 4.1Ghz 1.296v load. havent tested lower vcore.

[QUOTE=18 is # 1;3959665]I'm trying CPU Term everywhere from 1.3-1.4v wiith CPU ref ~63% and MCH ref ~60% (at Ghostleader's recommendation), MCH 1.36-1.5v

the dual cores i've seen here have had very low MCH volts. dunno about d.c. refs, but they are 75% of your stable oc. i bet you'll be running 100mhz higher soon
