Pyton what's your batch please and CPU OC for 7/24 ? I have 3903A484 batch and running stable 4253 @ 1.24V I don't use HT since It's gaming rig.

BTW why so high QPI guys? I run mine at 1.35V with no problems what so ever and DIMMs are showing 1573 MHz in bios...

1.5 qpi is needed for speeds over 1600 MHz. @ least thats my experience ,,,,

I have problem getting rock stable with my core i7 965. I can pass linx or intel burn test 40 times without errors, but prime blend guive me bsod 101 and 124 after 2 or 3 hours or after 9 to 14 test.

I tryed many different blcks and multis between 4.26 and 4.29 ghz.

I tryed to raise vcore up to 1.475 and vtt to 1.45 don't want to go higher with those, looking for a 24/7 clock.

Tryed pll up to 1.89 but 1.85 seem to be a sweet spot.

Tryed ioh and ich up to 1.19 but auto seem better.

Running memory at stock speed 1600 or near depanding the blck, uncore to 2x memory ratio, ht off, speedstep off, turbo off

    Any idea ?

First u need to post your system specs so we can help you better. but first try your ioh/ich @ 2.9v and report back.

I finally got a 5GHz validation on my system. The only way I could get it done was to boot into Windows @4.92GHz 234X21 then use SETFSB to up the BCLK to 238. I tested SuperPi a little more and was able to get it to complete @4.96GHz.

    Congratulations m8

I just couldn't get my system to boot past 222 Bclk
Tried everything even the exact same bios template you posted earlier but no luck
There is just something missing I can't figure out. any thing over 4000MHz on the qpi and no post !!!

Must admit I'm starting to get a bit annoyed with the vdroop on this board. With load-line cali disabled I put 1.33vcore in bios, it shows as 1.3 at idle. Bit too high idle volt, since my clock is stable at 1.28 full load, although I can live with that. But during full load it drops even further down to 1.26... Thus making my system unstable. I turn up the bios volt quite a few steps to actually hit 1.28 during full load, but then my idle skyrockets.

So, I enable load-line instead and set the volt to 1.28ish, My idle stays at 1.26, but during full load my volt get boosted to in between 1.31 and 1.32. Which is not needed, thats just extra heat for an already hot CPU.
I set my volt to 1.26, full load jumps to 1.29-1.3. Good enough, but then my Idle volt drops too low, and my system crashes in between full load and idle. Sighs :P
Gonna try another bios than 1504, hopefully I find something less annoying :>

Thats on a noctuau12p and at the evening when the temps are falling. Midday I can easily push 85c on max load. 4.2ghz clock. HT on.
It's not that its impossible for me to run at 4.2ghz or higher, it's just annoying that I'll either have to settle with a high load vcore or a high Idle vcore.

Some chips just won't do BCLK over 222MHz/QPI over 4GHz. It's a simple as that. I'm not saying that your chip is or isn't one of those, but rather just stating a fact.

@ trt740... The cold boot issue is as much as described above.. turning off the mains leads to an unstable OC where either the PC won't boot properly or gives BSOD's... In my case I'm only getting the BSOD's..
Thanks I had that issue don't now with the new bios. Before if I would shut down using the power button my computer would not boot until I went into the bios and re saved my overclocking settings..

Woot! Just to prove that it can be done!

4.0Ghz 20x200 running 12Gig 2000Mhz Ram OCZ Blades c9 at its rated speed! Amazing with a C0! Broke the unicore barrier!
A little bit of research can go a long way!

Hey Blaxtr3m3! It worked! Two crucial parameters in the ram setting make this possible!

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Discovered that too when reviewing the Gene II, how much did you have to loosen B2B ? 10 ?

    12. Which was the max. I haven't tried making it less so I might experiment with it later. I'm just so happy that the ram is running at its rated speed and its running 4.0Ghz. Happy camper here! Spent many sleepless nights memtesting this ram to death trying to figure out why it won't run at its rated speed but no errors encountered. It was driving me crazy till I read that article. What a relief!

    Hi

I have strange problem with Rampage II Extreme, bios does not seem to see all of the memory. I have triple kit (3x 2GB) of Dominator GT TR3X6G1866C7GT, but in the bios it shows only 4GB usable, I tried to test the memory one by one and the board see it but if I plug them all 3 together it shows only 4Gb, I tried even getting another memory OCZ 3x2gb 1600mhz Kit and it shows all 6Gb but if I put back dominator no.
So any one have any idea about this problem

    Note>
I used bios 1406 and 1504 same problem
I tried to change the memory in deferent slots same problem too

the specs of this PC is

    CPU I7 975
    VGA 2 x 295GTX
    3x HDD
    PSU 1250W enermax
1250W enermax the cpu and the north bridge are liquid cooled
and the reset is normal stuff
    Me ne sforzo di disimparare

Anybody here has problem with 1504? I still get this computer on but no POST problem I had previously. It happens without warning when I restart my computer. I can't find any solution to this besides clearing the CMOS.

It's because your memory controller on the CPU can't connect to one of the dimm channels. You can most likely fix this with reinstalling your CPU and sink. Cause its normally caused by some of the pins not having proper contact. It can also be that some of the pins has been bent.
Edit: Also, this is a problem I have countered when trying to use lower latency on the sticks, then having one of my dimms fade out. (If you use AUTO this might be the problem, try set em at 9-9-9-24 and vdimm at at 1.65). My dimm fading out on low CAS were fixed by a heatsink reinstall. (One that had more proper pressure on the CPU).

Those temps are too high!! What TIM r u using? I think re-applying TIM with a push-pull config on the noctua and you will see at least 7-8 Degrees less on that CPU. I am using MX2 but others are good too.

Have you tried bypassing 222 Bclk and starting at a higher Bclk say 223-230 with the CPU voltage below 1.55v? This D0 doesn’t like the voltage above 1.55v until it’s running above 230 Bclk.
Did you hit the 222 wall while overclocking? What setting made it go through?

I'm afraid I have one of them . I am happy anyway, With an architecture this new and I could understand it this fast and get gr8 results with it

Bios 1502 solved the problem for me. Just make sure your overclock is stable, b/c this could also happen if you have an unstable overclock.

A little bit of research can go a long way!

Hey Blaxtr3m3! It worked! Two crucial parameters in the ram setting make this possible!
Congrats m8 now lets c how far these sticks would go
Did you do some Pi ?

As I replied to trt740, check if your overclock is stable .
