Will a QX9770 C1 Stepping overclock as well as a Q9650 E0 in terms of FSB limits and max OC? Can i expect more of an OC out of a QX9770?
Thanks. Also the QX9770 has a vid of 1.3V and my Q9650 has a vid of 1.3V
Max i can get out of my CPU is 4.5Ghz 3d stable @ 1.5V.
Thoughts?

I'm using EP45-UD3R rev 1.1 with Q9450 rev C1, here is my voltage template:
I'm using my Q9450 at 451*8 but the system is unstable and randomly makes FATAL ERROR in prime95, sometime it can run Prime for 12+ hours without any error but sometime it fail after 20-30 minutes. When I lower the multiplier to 451*7, everything is fine => so I think my mobo and memory can handle this bus, the problem is CPU and voltages, right ? Anyone have a solution for this***********Motherboard Voltage Control******

What is the difference if any between the 10e/10b bios and F9? because i am scared to flash the bios for nothing. The last time i flashed the my bios the RAID on my board stopped working(i found someone else who had the same problem) and i ended up loosing 600Gigs of DATA and remaking my RAID configuration.

You can get a brand new UD3P from Newegg for $115 after rebates with a full warranty and I see a used one at EBay for $90.
If you ask $80 it might sell reasonably quickly. It depends where you live.
If you live in Hong Kong then maybe your board is worth the $216 US that this guy on EBay is asking for his board plus $36 bucks for shipping and handling.![]()

F10e works much better for me than F10b in the sense that I don't get stuck in reboot loops whenever I make a small change in the BIOS. Also with F10b, even with a stable overclock, whenever I restart the computer, the board would always reset my settings and give me the red "not enough voltage error" when I checked the BIOS settings. If I saved and exited without changing any settings, the board would then boot normally. Very annoying. Again, this doesn't happen in F10e.
I think these problems depend on your hardware though. With my Ballistix Tracer D9s and with my OCZ Blades, I had the reboot loop issue in F10b. But with some cheap GSkills, I didn't have the problem. Currently running 4.2GHz (game stable only since I haven't attempted long Prime sessions yet) with a Q9550 in F10e on air, so I wouldn't say F10e sucks.

Just got a new build at work for myself to play with. Had to order everything from TigerDirect on company account, so options were limited. (my work is cheap, but I managed to at least get this)...

Anyone have a 500 FSB BIOS setting they can share. Leeghoofd, I think you used this board in your E6300, E7400, E8600 cache battle. Can you please post some settings you used? Thanks!

I have finally pushed this q9550 to a 500 fsb. My mobo is the ud3r with kingston hyperx ram 1066. I am running at 4.25 ghz right now. How do i post a screen shot into the forum? It doesn't work like it does on other forums.

Nice clocks^ I'm barely there with my Q9650...
You have to upload it elsewhere (photobucket or the like) and link it in your post using the pic button
ok what the hell is with this board. I install everything and it was fine while at stock, so I put my QX9650 to an extremely conservative 4.4ghz and this board is just stuck doing infinite reboot cycles now. It just turns itself off and on and off and on infinitely. I tried clearing the CMOS but that did nothing. Obviously tried draining power from it. Who the hell designed this thing?
Memory timings are fine, this was the very first time I changed any values on it so everything was VERY conservative. I was planning to push everything up in windows through easy tune. It was 440x10, 1.49vcore, I added 0.1v to MCH, added some termination voltage and added some PLL. RAM was only at 1000mhz, 5-6-6-18, 2.2volts (this is below spec).
Nope didn't update the BIOS, was going to try to OC first...
Just removed the CMOS battery and waiting now...
First, it's imperative to discover your CPU Ref1, Ref2 and MCH Ref, if those settings are wrong MOBO will cycle-boot. Do you know how to set these settings in this board?
Cycle boots can also be the result of wrong mem timings, PL Level, short on the MB backplate (check with a DMM touch the cascade backplate to find any shorts this is common using phase change backplates), or overheating PWM area...
What BIOS your on?
Is anyone running the GSkill F2-9600CL5D-4gbpi on the rev1.1? Had major issues with dividers. Can only boot using 250a, if it fails the oc i have to take one stick out to get into bios to change settings. Put the same ram in my rev1.0 and first shot it booted up at 1200mhz 240b, 500x9 4500mhz oc.
