Ok so the chopping board is here but I'm a little dissapointed as it was supposed to be black and it looks more like dark grey to me. I'll obviously be cutting the handle + logo part off and sanding it.

I don't know whether or not to keep it because of the colour, so please let me know what you think. Would jet black be better?

It looks quality, but at the same time it is definitely not black.... my vote either go with something else or another option is to paint it.

The other choice would be this one:

Ok, I'm forgetting the idea with the chopping board, I don't like the look of it at all.

I managed to find a shop on ebay that sells loads of plastics, so I bought some 6mm clear Acrylic which I think will look awesome!

You chose the right thing, 6mm plexi is really friendly to work with too!

The cutting board is hard to paint I belive, it's quite soft and ircc has a LOT of oil in the plastic.

I've not finished building yet, but when I do I'll let you know.

As for the fitting, I'm just using regular barbs + tubing as it had a bit of "give" and won't put any undue strain on the blocks like I've heard some of the metal connectors do.

Cool. I would never have painted that chopping board - such a hassle.

    Update:

I finally got the Clear Perspex Acrylic:

It looks a bit blue as you need to leave the protective film on until you've finished cutting

This is the hacksaw I'm going to use to cut it as well as a selection of wet & dry papers to finish it. These are 400, 600, 1000 and 1200 grit papers and I'll start with the low numbers and work my way up when I actually come to sand them.

    Quick update:

So I was supposed to be fitting my CPU-350 this weekend until I found out that I'd been sent a C0 core i7 920 instead of a D0. Grrrrr. So that's going to have to go back. Yet more delays..

The damn thing was open as well which you don't expect when you RMA an item - damned Novatech. I'll not be buying from them in the future. If I'd have bought this from ebuyer, they would have sent a replacement so quickly from their own stock instead of making me wait until Intel sent the CPU to them as was the case with Novatech - very lousy. Oh, and they didn't refund my postage costs even though I asked them too....

Sorry for the rant, just in a bad mood. I'll be better by next post..

I hope you're steadier on the hand with the saw then I was.

Last time I used one I couldn't figure out if what I've done was a cut or a maze.

Also, new pics would be appreciated.

I'm planning to bolt the plastic on to the end of the motherboard tray (towards to end where the drive bays are) and mount the res's there, side by side. I'll use the DDC brackets underneath to hold the pumps in place.

I thought about using a circular saw but decided it wasn't worth it for the amount I'd actually use it.

I'll be posting some new pics up this weekend when I fit the CPU block (hopefully) :P.
