one positive in this is the ability to debate this without it decending into some kind free for all, for that i am happy.

i also agree with movieman to the extent, that maybe we should sit back and let people enjoy thier chips, at the expense of a company,

I tested Vince's chip in a short 10 minute session(probably 6 minutes to pull the pot down) and his was ~100MHz better than mine through 3D06. I suspect with more tweaking he'll be able to run 06 at 6100-6200 on LN2 but he won't see 7GHz on LHe. This chip is nothing like the chip that hit 6.9 on LHe in Austin. My chip was the worst of the Austin chips and I was doing 3D06 at 6250 all day long.

so these are chips that would have been apparently 'rejected' that are not anywhere near as good as the 'austin chips' (in gomelers opinion), so what are we seeing here? i am really confused now.

did someone just knock this idea up in a shed somewhere, get themselves some boxes from ikea, and spraypaint them with some stencils? when in fact in reality they sgould have been thrown in the bin as fails?

if that is the case, then this would be totaly ironic
