Overclocking is getting a good sample of hardware, applying your tweaks/cooling and hoping for the best; if you're stuck with a lousy engine (random!) you're out of the game no matter how good your skill is.
This has always been my point, just like F1 the guy with the best engine will always win just like overclocking MHZ is king.

It is great to see the big overclocks and results from great hardware, but for competitions everyone should be limited to the same speed to show who is the best.
