I can't speak specifically for the EK block, but I needed longer 4-40 screws/posts (1" was JUST long enough) to mount my Swiftech MCW30 on the northbridge. Even then mounting the block wasn't perfect; I needed about half a mm closer spacing so the posts are angled inward ever so slightly. I'm happy with the mount and it does mate well with the northbridge unisink so just a word of warning in case anybody runs into something like this while putting a block on the northbridge unisink.
