Does your camera offer different control settings? TV, AV or M? Then you could decide yourself what's important, instead of letting the camera decide. I think there must be some good english web sites that explain the effect of aperture, ISO and exposure-time. Your camera chose F2.8 for both of your pictures although it wasn't necessary. The ISO-rating is at 100 and the exposure time is very short, seeing how short your focal length is. As a rule of thumb you can say, as long as the exposure time is shorter than 1/(focal length) you can shoot without a tripod (even without image stabilisation). And always remember: 1/4 is less then 1/2
I wanted to take a shot of the blueberry flowers.
I didn't let the camera decide for me, I did choose f2.8 because i wanted the background to be blur but i let the camera decide the exposure-time, there was plenty of light that is why i chose 100 Iso otherwise i would have went with 200 "I Can't go higher because the noise will get crazy with my bad camera"
Do you think f2.8 was too high ? I'm still trying to learn
Here is another picture hopefully you like it more "you can see how much noise in the picture even at iso 100 "
