    Hi Cheapseats

I still have it but for the moment I have fun with a EP45-UD3P.

I see that you doing some good progress with those 2x1GB Corsair D9GTR, keep up the good work.

I a near future I planning to do some RE test with my Q9650 and some 4x1 and/or 2x2 ram.

Swapped in my very very old and early 2x1GB Cellshock PC3-14400 Micron D9GTR modules and they seem to still hit same 930-950mhz ceiling so either it's bios or me still being a noob in tweaking memory for >1000Mhz speeds

This took 2.17v vdimm - too much can't remember for X48 platform :o

    Loose timings

nice runs eva did you need same vDIMM with tRFC48 and 60 ? i need +0.06V for 56 from 60, but 48 is unlikely for mine.

btw, great info in the file names

    ________

    cpu is ok

tested 450x10 again to check chip after higher volts for 5ghz 32M - seems good with same min vcore it had before.

Man my temps have gone up considerably??? I lowered the voltage even tried lowering the FSB down they are still higher than they were a couple days ago? usually the temps get better after the as5 cures why are mine getting worse?? I donno if I am liking this Xigmatek1283 cooler with this heat pipe direct contact?? Ive been tempted to go back to my zalman 9700 but everywhere I read this xigmatek is supposed to be better?? I donno if i have too much or not enough thermal paste Im running 42-42-42-43 Idle load temps seem about the same high 50's ,to low 60's?? I posted my bios settings in my earlier post maybe Im missing something??? Also i noticed my boot times are way longer than they used to be?? On vista the motion bar goes across my screen for like 17 seconds and even has a point where theres along pause for like 3 - 4 seconds where it just stops scrolling then resumes again?? what am I doing wrong here?? Snipe .. Anyone ....

Hey guys, I've been screwing around with this board for a while with 4x2 Diablos. I can't get it to post with all 4 sticks, though, even though I'm running them DDR3-800 9-9-9-24 @ 1.96156v. 3 sticks, fine. CPU is a QX9770, if it matters. I've been trying to get this working using MnM's settings, but I suspect my problem is due to the fact that I'm not overclocking (yet) and my voltages are just wrong for what I'm doing. What voltages do I need to increase (or decrease!) and what timings do I need to loosen? Thanks!

Note, I've been trying simpler settings, applying Occam's Razor. Not really sure if it applies to overclocking, but I hope it does!

you can try to increase the vNB. Maybe the memory Controller need more volts to fire up all RAM´s.... Try out !!

well for my 2x1 Transcend (samsung):

    900mhz 8-8-8-24 @ 1.61V (XMP 1.8V)

    1000mhz 8-8-8-24 @ 1.95V

    ~ 850mhz 7-7-7-21 @ 1.95V

900-975mhz/CL8 runs easy enough with e86, but i can't compare this to 2x2 clocking + quad

Seem like a nice pair, those 2x1 you have.

I read the press release about those 2x2 1800 and it seem like they are good quality, I haven´t found any review yet though.

But, what the heck, I go with those 2x2, I got a fairly good price for them, next thing is if my Rampage Extreme like them, think I start with bios 0403 and work my way up.

Don´t know if they are Micron or Samsung , I guess I have to get those heatspreader of to check that.

Btw, have anyone done any test with those new Elpida IC that they have made for the Core i7 (X58), High speed (2000MHz+), low latency (CAS 7) and low volt (1,65v) on a Rampage Extreme?

One of your sticks could be bad. You should test for errors.
Running 4x2 here CPU OC to 4.5 with the NB voltage on auto with no problems.

What else have you adjusted? Obviously I'm not going to copy your settings exactly, because we have both a different proc and ram, but it'd be nice to know what you had to adjust.

one thing i noticed about 2x1 TX1800 was lower vNB needed for 450FSB/1:2/CL8 than my 2x1 OCZ1800 -
OCZ only ran @ 2T, so i got higher read from transcend for less vNB

    @dctokyo
hi dc how did the settings for 4GB work out ?

    ______________

corsair 2x1 is clocking well on 1:2 - vDIMM already quite high with tRFC72, and very high with tRFC60.
i only found small gains in 32M from tRFC, and keeping the other subs tight makes a bigger difference

    493x8 / 333 strap / CT strong / 7-6-6-18 / maxmem 680 / SpiTweaker CDT

    couldn't quite hit 13k read @ 475FSB

    475x10 / 400 strap / CT Auto / 7-6-5-15 / no maxmem or CW

Yeah filenames help remind me what settings I use Amazing mem clocks i can't seem to get past 950mhz mem with either D9JNM, HCF0 or D9GTR heh. I used same vdimm for both tRFC 48 and 60 as i didn't try lower vdimm

booting above 500fsb/1:2 = low performance

booting < 500fsb and pushing up in windows will give much better Read/Latency for same settings (+ higher vNB)

no progress on this yet as i didn't have a monitor for RE last week

    D9GTR and all skews Auto

    533x7.5 / 1066mhz / 333 strap / CT moderate / tRD 7 / boot at 533fsb

    8-7-6-18 + Auto subtimings / vDIMM 2.18V set

    8-7-6-18 + manual subtimings / vDIMM 2.20V set

    hi Martin.v.r

worth using 1T if memory clocks ok - for Read and Latency the difference between 1T and 2T is about 0.5 to 1 tRD
