I am sure you have done this already, but have you unplugged all USB devices such as external hard drives, etc.? Do you have a PS-2 keyboard if the mobo can accept one?

The only USB devices are the keyboard and the mouse. I don't have a PS2 keyboard but I am beginning to suspect an IO shield problem.

Sorry to hear this Rocky, did you by chance flash your bios? Also did you ever go by "seekermeister"? I googled it and here is the results page.
