Looks like everything is coming along quite well for you dingdong...

On another note, I left the picture of your sidekick on the screen while I went to the kitchen. I caught my dog staring at the rabbit like the hunt would start any minute.

    Oh man......

I plugged in my rig for a test on air (first boot for my GPU) and nothing....

    Just NOTHING......

    *Hmmm* I thought to myself.

I grabbed a diagram of the 24pin layout! DOH! My pins weren't in the correct place. I get so confused with diagrams, some are with the colours of the wires from the PIN side of the connectors and others are from the WIRE side of the connectors!!! My 24pin is fully depinned and I'll have to repeat the process YET AGAIN. This is the second time now.....I'm actually relieved that it wasn't something else, it was just the pins in the wrong place Not really a delay as it's an hour fix but I mean.....FFS!

For that split second before you figure out what the problem is, I always panic when it doesn't turn on after doing something major

    We have LIFT OFF!!!

My PSU works, thank god, so does my 4870X2.

When I went to start it for the first time, it kept booting in really quick series (eg. 2 seconds) I let it run for about 10seconds as I didn't know what it was doing. *Hey look, there is smoke coming out of my hard drive* Looks like the power connector was screwed and did a short circuit. Ditched the cord...... I'm on my comp now and it all seems fine. Some quick 3D mark tests tomorrow to make sure it's all OK then I can start to get it all wet

    Cool shots Dingdong!

Your user name is very catchy, how did you come up with that? It looks like you have enough to keep you busy a while. Keep on pressing on.

Nice XSPC Rad .. I was looking into getting that from Jab-tech because the price was reasonable even if it did have those for mentioned blemishes... unfortuantely at taht price it sold out pretty quick.

Project is looking good and can wait to see those parts in your system.
