I think i'll leave the chipset with the stockcooling like it is. All the hard work happens in the CPU since the memcontroller is in the CPU itself-- good enough for me.

Thanks Charles, it means a lot coming from you. Your builds inspired me the most of all excellent M|M builds around here. Sorry for stealing your idea's.

Sick and tired of waiting i got me a new PSU (gonna sell the RMA'd one once it comes in -if ever ).
Once again i tried to jumpsart it to test it before building it into my case and was faced with the same cr@p as before! WTF?

    I made a new thread here : http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=220045

Long story short, it seems impossible to jumpstart this PSU by just connecting the green to a black wire.

On a brighter note, i finally got a PSU and can start sleeving now.

in order to bleed zeus you dont need to jump it. just take the 24 pin power and plug it into the mobo, but leave all PCI-E and CPU 8-pin power off of the board. then you can use the switch on the case and the SPU hardswitch in tandem until the loop is filled.

I promise it is perfectly safe, I have done it 15 times at least

Thanks Snipe but it was not my intention to bleed actually. I just wanted to check if the PSU was ok before starting the dreaded sleeving job. It would be really painfull to find out the PSU was doa after the sleeving job, i'd rather find out prior to that painfull job.

Talking about sleeving, i got this one finished already :

I hope to start with the sata power cables tomorrow so that i can put my build together this weekend.

Thanks. I have to say i'm not 100% satisfied with the way the heatshrink came out, i've cut all pieces exactly the same length and slid them all onto the first part of the pin but in the end there was still difference in length though.

Thanks BA my fingers still hurt, using 1/8 shrinktube makes it a lot harder.

Thanks man! Like i'd already seen in your pic, the wires do not go 1:1 from one connector to the other, the wires are crossed here and there, did you notice that too?

Thanks Dangals, your guide helped me, the smaller shrinktube you advised makes it look smoother than the 6mm shrinktube i used before, this 1/8 shrinktube fits into the plastic housing of the connector and makes it look neat and clean.

Two more pics for you my friend:

The more I read these sleeving posts the more I want to join the club! AHHH!!! I can't keep pulling out my wallet like this. Oh and question, I heard a hot knife helps your sleeve jobs be more snug, how does that work exactly??

Zeus, the sleeving job looks great .... You've inspired me bite the bullet an order some MDPC sleeving to try it out on my current build.

Hopefully I can get it to look as good as yours... Keep up the work on this great build.

Breaking out the wallet is never easy but it shouldn't be a problem for a good cause like this, right?
I don't know about hot knifes, i'm just using a plain pair of scissors and a lighter--nothing hi-tec here.

Glad i could inspire you, sleeving is not a lot of fun to do but the result is very rewarding. Good luck with your build. Buildlog?

A very big thank you goes out to XS member Jokester_wild for sending me these awesome cable clamps:

Wow I love how you glued together the LED strip. How did you do that exactly? Where did you get the metal casing for it?

    Thanks.

Actually it ain't metal, it's plastic 25x25mm L-profile, trimmed down to the dimensions in the drawing and then glued together.

The gap in between the two profiles is tight enough that the led strip is stuck in between. (somewhat jammed)

As the ledstip has a silicone coating it's impossible to use glue or doublesided tape to mount it, hence my creation.

Too much credit man. I'm only a novice trying to make most out of it. But thanks for the bunch of flowers, your work is at least as awesome.

Thanks shazza, the build is coming along nicely now. I've just been putting in the PSU and am working on cable management.

Because i've been thinking 10 steps ahead it was simply putting the cables the way i had though out when i could not sleep and most cables are already in position now.

The molex cable is gonna be a bit hard to route cause it has to run in between the rads at the bottom part.

I'm sure i'll get it done before i hit the bed tonite.

Here are the cables connected to the Silverstone powerhouse:
