(no problem here if my case or this motherboard wont give so much interferience and other noises like when dragging a window with mouse etc), then i started to look thing up why it wont work with rear panel at all, tried so many things that i dont want to list them here.

Tried VISTA and 2x Windows XP installations, VISTA worked fine and worked always, but these 2 XPs didnt at all, always the same, front works - back doesnt.

After 2 days of investigation, I just found out that windows and ATI/AMD chipset/GPU-drivers installs the REAL Integrated soundchip drivers to the HD4870 soundchip! And likewise HD4870 drivers goes to soundmax motherboards integrated chip, it LOOKS OK, but never works .. its amazing that those two uses almost the same drivers.

I almost thrashed the MB
Can happen with 3870 series too...I usually have to reinstall the Creative sound card driver after the Vidio card Audio driver(under XP Sp2/Sp3 . If not the Videocard Sound driver will always bork the Onboard sound or Creative XFi.

No problem under Vista 32/64
