However, if I use windows media player to play mp3, I can hear a lot of popping/crackling sound(tested on both of my soundcards). I have already updated my x-fi vista x64 driver and my onkyo(VIA Envy24) driver to the most updated one on their websites. Right now I need to lower my BCLK to 209 in order to reduce those crackling sound. Is it an issue from the motherboard or vista 64? Anyone has this issue on their motherboard before? I read from other forums that this issue can be solved by increasing the PCI latency. Does anyone know where I can set it on this board??
I have the same problem on my X-FI PCI-E titanium. I however had this issue on my old 780i, P6T, and now my DFI. I just thought it was a bad soundcard, but I only notice it on music. I am interested in trything this fix to see if it rememdy's it.
