A New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for me this evening ...
Once again, I have to vote with SiGfever ... I would definitely at least give the 45 on the bottom GPU a try.
(and yes, I can form my own opinions, but SiG is just so often right!)

Hiiyah,
We only have open bar parties! We want our guests to drink whatever they want!
The chest hair thing is overrated according to a couple of gals I met in my past.......
Shazza, And all this time I took you for a scotch drinker? Just kidding. However, a 61 LaTour is the best IMO.
I will check out the 45 on the bottom VC tomorrow and post some pic's if I have any fingers left!

No charge, Mr. SiGfever!
And, about that scotch. I am partial to single malts, but I generally save that treat for Friday evening after a fun week at work![]()

For those that asked........the 45 sans the tubing
I am not sure.......
Notice the difference between the shining and the real silver?
Last one
I fully intend to start leak testing by Sunday AM so if you have any more suggestions, speak up! BTW, the blue sleeving will not be used. I am replacing all of the regular plugs with the BP plugs.
One question; I read somewhere that BP fittings only need to be tightened by hand, is this correct? Seems strange to me.![]()

Rocky,
I like the BP fittings where I can use a wrench, but am a little uncomfortable with only hand tight using the knurls.
I am going to buy some of the soft jawed pliers just to make sure. Here:

Rocky,
I think that they would both have to be 45'd to work out. It is tough to tell without the tubing in place, maybe a piece of larger tubing for the mock-up. I understand that you do not want to attach the blue tubing as you would have to cut it off. I do not like to constantly reapply that kind of pressure to my blocks pulling tubing on and off. I too would do hand tight and then 1/4-1/2 turn with the protected pliers.
The original way also looks nice if you decide to stay with it.
Oh, by the way, got my scotch in hand, a little scotch on the rocks.![]()

the wife beg me for margaritas today !!!!!
I use normal needle nosed pliers inside two fingers of a latex glove. Works great!

Dang ... I gotta agree with SiGfever again. Having a hard time visualizing how the tubing is going to look with just one 45. BTW, I think the 45 looks good.
I do pretty much what others are saying on the BP fittings ... hand tighten (which isn't a lot, given my old, aging, weak hands). Then I use some needle nose pliers. At first, I wasn't using anything to "protect" the fittings. My husband informed me I was screwing up, so since then, I've put some tape on my pliers. It is SOOOOO helpful to have a backseat driver
As I get more confidence with the BP fittings, I worry less about tightening them all the way. Makes it much easier to redo my loop, which I seem to do regularly.
nice work log
btw, try this for your pump

Scotch is better unless you have the flu or a cold in which case I recommend Reposado Tequila!
John,
If you knew how difficult it is regarding the tubing, you wouldn't ask.
I am happy that you are armed with the scotch! Which brand tonight?
Alan,
That's what I have done too, but the soft jawed pliers are irresistible!
BA, You are the only one that does not appreciate a good scotch!
Shazza,
I know it is hard visualizing the tubing. However, I only have a couple of fingers left!
From a first person view, the straight looks better to me. However, I haven't had much scotch! Maybe John will chime in again?![]()

Well how about install a 45 on the CPU block and just hold a piece of tubing up in place and take a quick pic?
And it was my old standby, JW Black Label. Next maybe Gold Label.![]()

You guys are making me want to go buy a good bottle of scotch and try to fit in!

I decided against the 45 off the 2nd VC. In the case of the scotch, JWB is a great scotch, the gold is not worth the price IMO. The Blue is outstanding but just for sipping and not drinking. I also like a few singlemalts too. I did the Spey Scotch tour a few years back and I loved it, not to mention fresh fish and chips! For the money Aberlour is the best and it is outstanding. My personal favorite is Longmorn but it is hard to find.
Sorry I forgot this is Xtreme Systems not Xtreme Scotch!
See above!

A couple of quick shots, sorry for the bad pics I was in a hurry...scotch time!
With bling.....
I most likely won't use the bling but it is cool. I will sleeve the pump wires.
Now the fun part. I knew early on that I would have a cable problem with the 24 pin due to the size of the Feser and the Zeus PSU. The cut out in the M|M midplate is completely blocked by the PSU so I decided to flip Rad and the PSU. However, I have always been a pull proponent and not push. I have two options; 1. Go with push on the fans and route the 24 through the midplate or 2. Stay with the pull and route the 24 behind the Res and through the front and down.
Any opinions or ideas? TIA
