Mick64, very nice block you got there.
Maybe I can help you with this problem. It'll take a slight alteration of the design but it should work just as well. Instead of a solid copper base, make it Delrin and just use the copper where it's needed (like Bei's and NeaKuh's 2-in-1 MOSFET).
Also, are those screw holes counterbored? If so, the sharp corners made by the tools will be the first place cracks occur in the tops. The longevity of the tops would be greatly improved if the screws were flat heads (82° chamfer) or low profile/button heads left above the surface.
