The oversized pci holder will destory the point in it being a single slot block. If you do change the pci holder to a single slot holder, then i can see the need for a single slot block.

But now a days motherboard companies arent being too stupid and putting pci-e's next to each other.
Ya, but on a board like the evga x58 you need a single slot block to use the pci-e 1x for a soundcard. It doesnt have a slot above the first pci-e 16x.
