Also interested to see what your next PSU choice will be.
    Thanks Shazza!
It needed to be covered up!
I was hoping to get it finished by next weekend but that probably will not happen. Too much sleeving and little details to be sorted out.
In the case of the PSU, it gets harder. The Zeus is good. I had an Ultra X3 in my last system and it was not as good as the Zeus. My three systems before these two were all powered by PC P&C. I purchased one of the first 1kw SLI PSU's they offered. It is still running effortlessly today in my server, albeit a bit loud. There are very few choices if you want modular and a single 12 v rail. Actually, there are none that I know of. The Zeus gives you the ability to switch but I would prefer a single. I ramble too much...back to the scotch!

    Sorry I couldn't resist.
I'm with you brother, those are my intentions as well. I don't want ANY wires showing, but if they must show, they MUST be blacked out!

Great job on that small detail.

So you're looking for a solid, silent, modular, single 12V rail PSU with 1kW+?

Have you looked at the Silverstone Decathlon DA1000? (Here it is at Newegg for $239 after MIR) It seems to meet your criteria, and those Decathlons are great PSU's, from my experience. You seem to have had some positive experience with Silverstone in the past, and I think this one will truly be worthy of a great sleeving job like you've shown in this thread.

    Whatever you decide, good luck!

Lol. I love that quote, it's absolutely classic. I do agree though that they should make sets for "The Enthusiast's Enthusiast" such as yourself.

Wow Nils, what a beautifully captured moment! I want to swim in that stuff. :p I couldn't see the pic earlier because I was at work and it was blocked, but that's awesome.

By the way, I'm starting to get sig envy. When are you gonna finish up my drawing like the rest of the guys have? Did you get my pictures from Charles?

Lovin this build, Seeker. Keep the updates coming!

LMAO. I requested Vodka with mine, but apparently they don't have that in Canada.

Maybe Nils can see about scoring me some Lex Vodka that I had during my brief deployment in the Ukraine. That stuff was the smoothest I've ever had!

    It's probably a long-shot, but he's closer to it than I am!

I did send Charles three sigs for you - but maybe you did not like any of them. If that is the case I will of course do more ... until you like one
Dogs and sleeve? Yes its true: originally our sleeving is made out of cat hair here in Germany.

I believe it's the dining room from other posts by Nils. Can just imagine a dinner party there ... you already have a beautiful centerpiece. And, I'm sure only fine wine will be flowing - none of that bathtub vodka stuff.

A little update and a problem or two. I checked the fit of the EK H20 blocks with the backplates because I was concerned about the spacing between the two 280's and the soundcard. The spacing worked due to the BP SLI fitting but the backplate causes problems with the soundcard.

I really need to get one acrylic top for the aquarium look.

This an outstanding fitting! Thanks BP. You can also see the soundcard problem.

    Mood lighting.

Due to the single slot spacing I will have other issues as well. This is my first attempt using large tubing and I need to know how tight of a bend I can get without kinking the tubing?

As you can see from the last pic I will need a serious bend or change my flow, which I do not want to do. I was planning on pump-cpu-gpu-gpu-res-rad-pump.
I am open to suggestions and any advice!
BTW, the barb fittings you see on the EK blocks are the BP silver and they are silver inside and out. They are gorgeous to say the least...no microbials here.

What's the problem with the spacing? I couldn't quite tell from the pics.

BTW, I think thick-walled tygon would definitely make the bend, but masterkleer might as well. It doesn't seem that bad to me. You could always put a bp 45 on one end or the other to make it even less 'kinky'.

You're not putting the nb/sb/mos under water???

    Shazza,

You know me, its scotch, smokes and cooking time! Here is the fitting http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/bishg14sidse.html and it is beautiful and it can work with a single or a dual slot configuration due to the dual O-Rings. This fitting is hard to describe, however someone at BP has their stuff together! Now, help me with the tubing problems! Everyone knows that you are the tubing King, Queen and all other Royalty when it comes to tubing....period, end of story!

The spacing on the R2E is single slot in SLI so you have very few options. Thus, the BP SLI fitting is the cats meow!

It is Tygon 3603, 3/8" ID with a 1/8" wall.
BTW, PM sent and the "Mother" has left the port!

    seeker.

Good deal ... I've gotta couple of those fittings in my stash.

Re the loop; my first thought was "turn the res upside down" (okay, that should give you some insight as to why I'm always excited when I get something to actually work).

If you're talking about the going from the CPU block to the bottom GPU block, then I don't see how you do it without some 45s or dual45s (for that semi-90 degree bend flexibility).

Can you exit the CPU, route the tubing to the top GPU inlet, come out the bottom GPU, into the res? This would make a pretty good flow, if you swap the SLI connector plug to the other side. Might still require a 45 from the CPU.

I don't think there would be an issue with flow traveling down the GPUs instead of up ... not like gravity is going to rush all the water out of the top (but then, I'm no physicist). My inclination would be to push the water flow up the GPUs, but I'm not sure it will make much difference to temps.

If any of this makes sense to you, you haven't had enough scotch
