    I feel your pain clo007. What has gigabyte tech support said? anything? Your having a strange problem. It's happened twice to you and one other time to someone else it looks like.... but those are the only three cases i've heard of. I wish i had an answer for ya. I've had 2 of these boards myself and built a couple of systems for customers with it (well the ud3p version) and all work with 2 or all 4 dimms populated. Maybe theres a bug with the r series? i dunno.... Good luck

    Edit: i see the other issue i was speaking of like yours was with a UD3P board, but i dont know how many different sticks he's tried. He could actually have bad ram.
