    Only in SLi mode the blank screen problem appears to me, in Vista x64 SP1, solved with eva2000 memory lowgap advice. Sadly also got the laggy problem though i've never used abs... so i've followed the method described before, took battery out, flashed 09/01/14 bios, but the problem is still here.
    I'll try tonight a clean install..

    Flashed latest bios and reloaded ABS although i never use(d) profiles. There's stil a bit lag in 3D but only the first 20 ~ 30 seconds, after that its gone. Before it lagged all the time.

    DVD that came with the board wont load, not in XP nor Vista. All other DVD's i tried are fine though...

    Grinch i have 3x1GB 1866 Dominators and 3x1GB Ballistix with D9GTR and both sets run ok

    When i install Windows XP x64 (SP2) in my rig, everything is fine until i try shutdown or reset the system. Shutdown -> power on leads to 88 code, board dead. Reset leads to system hangs, FF code and blank screen. Only reset cmos with jumper or unplug and replug the PSU wire restore the system. The workaround that solve this problem is play with pcie roots settings.
    Haven't experienced such issue before, had one that was close with shutdown overnight and power up next day = postcode 75 but that was due to incorrect memory settings/voltages when i load my default set profile from cmos reloaded. Overwrote my default saved profile which i usually reload with correct memory voltages/multiplier and no more probs.

    care to share your bios settings via this template http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-lp-ut-x5...emplate-12919/

    Did both of you confirm after popping up the battery than when you booted back into bios all cmos reloaded slots were cleared before flashing bios ?

    Strange about dvd-rom, are you guys running IDE or SATA DVD drives and do you have ACHI/RAID or IDE mode set ?

    As for me, been doing some video encoding lately at comfortable 4009mhz at 1.328-1.344v and interesting results

    testing new 01/14 and 01/20 beta bioses soon

    In my case the slots were the default ones...
    don't know why i'm looking my adaptec sata raid controller as guilty... cause i've been benchin this board 2 days ago, open air with a TRUE, single memory module, single GTX 280 and single hard drive at SATA port with no probs, linx 100 passes and prime stable 19X211 for hours with no laggin and no blank screens

    Flashed to last bios, and running prime 95 at 200x19 1,25v. Seems stable.
    Im happy with the board, the only issue is that the only 100% valid method to recover from bad oc settings is quit the battery.

    Reset + power->
    Holding home or insert key while push the power button->
    Old school quit battery-> FTW

    My issue is getting weird first the gtx280 refused to work on my old p5q deluxe. Then I put it back to df x58 and it booted up. I then decided to reflash it to some older bios and it did the trick. It started 2 times after on my dfi x58. This morning I was about to finish my setup but it the problem occurred again. Then I tested gtx280 on p5q deluxe and it started fine. Later I tried putting gtx280 into pcie 3 port and worked but when I put it back to pcie 1 it won't start; however the other card 7600gt works in pcie1.

    strange you must be pushing it alot as i've never had to pull the battery and in past 31 days only had to use clear cmos jumper twice. Most of the time it's just a matter of power down board (sometimes turn off power to psu), then turn on system again while holding Home key to reset to default 133 bclk and get into bios to change settings

    weird maybe your gtx 280 doing weird things ? both boards using same psu to power gtx 280 ?

    not sure what you're asking, if you need to install ABS or you want to play around with ABS profiles ?

    I haven't used ABS on DFI X58 as I don't need it and for bench OS don't want to install .net framework which is a requirement of installing ABS. But did use it on DFI UT X48-T3RS and you can see a basic run down of some of it's usage here http://i4memory.com/91205-post10.html

    the rest is in the ABS manual included with the board

    Same here.
    Yesterday I couldn't even get the board to start after a failed setting, it simply refused to even power up. Unplugging the power cord didn't help either.
    So I was frustrated and left it sitting without power overnight, this morning it fired up like nothing happened.

    Are you holding Home key before or after hitting power on switch ? It has to be held before hitting power

    yes I use the same PSU cooler master 850W 80+
    For some reason gtx280 would work in the yellow pcie3 port and won't work in other green pcie ports.

    weird indeed

    i always use ps/2 keyboard and mouse as i have an aten kvm switch which all my pcs run off of. USB based kvm switches are crap compared to my Aten PS/2 based kvm switch heh.

    at your own risk you could try 01/23 beta bios http://i4memory.com/f80/dfi-ut-x58-t...nge-log-13966/

    more results from me

    Flashed to 01/23 pre-beta bios and seems 6x mem multiplier runs alot better than before. Prior max mem clock with 6x mem was around 1049mhz 9-9-9-25 regardless of volts. Now with same memory can hit 1104mhz 8-9-8-22 for 32M pi and 1123mhz 8-9-8-22 for validation all at 2.025v bios with 6x mem multiplier

    CPUZ Validation
    @DDR3-2247Mhz 8-9-8-22 at 2.025v bios

    Super Pi 32M
    @DDR3-2208Mhz 8-9-8-22 at 2.025v bios

    Best 32M Pi effiency I've managed to date = 3864.4 x 550.891 seconds = 2128863

    01/23 is most recent pre-beta i have - you referring to your gtx 280 issue ? honestly no idea why that occurs.. maybe can lend someone else's gtx 280 and see if it's a problem specific to just your gtx 280 ?

    Eva, what is the difference between win reloaded and auto-upgrade in ABS software? Im using auto-upgrade to update my cmos pre-settings (for avoid laggy issue), but in your guide you use win reloaded. Which method is correct?

    EDIT: BTW, ABS is show me that the abs setting loaded in Bios is 112 version. But the ABS profile that i have load is 114...In Bios i see the 114 version loaded in Bank 4.
