Thats definately NOT TRUE anymore. Almost EVERY game now (current, dont bring up some old 1999-2000 game) has SLi support, whether it scales good to mediocre.

Im getting a GTX295 on release day, and as you know its "SLI on a Stick" 2 cards on 1. Crossfire has more issues with game scaling then SLi, SLi is nearly perfect when it comes to that, and this is back in 07-08 when i had 8800GTS 640mb in SLi

Also @ xguntherc, its ALOT more then a 6-8% increase. as long as you game at 1680x1050 or higher resolution, and you like lots of AA and AF. my 2 8800GTS in SLi would truck through 1920x1200 with 4xAA in all my games. while 1 8800GTX would suffer.
Its more than 6-8% and if you have the board its definately worth it. You dont need a new PSU either, a 750w will do fine, especially since its a PC P&C, very high quality and high amps on the 12v Rail. all you need to do is buy the card
