I would try higher FSb mate as I needed 1.3 to get 4.5 stable on my E8500... but each CPU is different...
Try the above to see if we can get 500FSB stable ( I would set 7 multi ) try to go as low on the Vcore as possible ( I usually test 30 minutes Small FFT, if all passes, I lower Vcore one or two notches and test again, till it fails, then I up two more that should keep it sort of stable)
First thing is to get the CPU stable then tweaks later on
It's under the heastink that is just below ya CPU (with the blue Asus logo on it)
Some people claim that they can use less voltage with Ket's bios than the vanilla one, I'm very sceptical of those claims... as his biosses did nothing for any of my 3 boards... but his biosses added ram support tables which can help out others , but if he modified the voltages etc dunno bout that... Form 1611 on I could drop a notch lower on the Vcore but that was a vanilla one

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
Setting 7 multi was no problem with these settings, should I try higher multi or lowering vcore?
*update*
Setting 7.5 multi was no problem either passed without a problem. Setting multi 8, pc wouldn't even boot. Just the fans spinning. I upped the Vcore to 1.35 and bluescreened upon entering Windows... Any ideas?

Well , I can use a bit less than 1406, but I also needed more voltage than I needed for 1406 than I needed for 0803. I saw a few other people posting the same thing here about 1406. I doubt that it did anything for me that the vanilla bios couldnt do. I had origionaly flashed it because I was having ram issues. I just rmaed my other 2x2gb kit, but it wouldnt hurt to try out an mbios.![]()

More Vcore then mate try straight 1.45 and then try to go lower...
Ofcourse it can't hurt if done correctly... but my point is that I read already a few times and on german forums too that voltage control is better on the Mbiosses (read that they can use lower Vcore etc...), I have serious doubts Ket even adressed that part of the bios (Vcore droop/drop, GTL's etc...)...

is anyone having problems with wireless networks and skype with this board?
deluxe dont have onboard wireles. Do you ave problems with pci-e card ?

I keep my coretemps sub 65°C under IBT.. think you got a very bad Wolfdale CPU that needs massive amounts of volts for a normal OC... Aim for 1.4 then to feel safer...
Does your TRUE feel loose when it's screwed down ? I inset a small piece of adhesive tape under the pressure point so the mount is better ( drops my temps also another 3-4°C)
I had no probs with the Dlink DWL922 kit with USB dongle... have you tried updated drivers/firmware for your wireless instalation ?

try 7.5 multi and see how low you can go on the vcore

I think chip is obviously dud. So I'm just gonna give up and live with what I've got. Poor thing need 0.1 vcore increase for less than 200Mhz. Something is wrong there![]()

i could use some help getting my new LG GGC-H20L Blu-ray drive connected to the Marvell sata ports. I put it on the ich10r ports and it works fine, so i know nothing is wrong with the drive or the cable. i also put plugged in an ide drive and the Marvell chipset detected it during post. what i can't do is get the Marvell chipset to detect the blu-ray drive during post. I assume it should see the drive during post, right?

does the marvell controller support ATAPI devices, or hdd only?

What's the latest rev of the bios? I'm going to spend today trying to overclock for the first time
edit: is there a "most stable" template for a q9450 at a fairly mild OC? (Air) The thread is so damn long I don't think I'll ever find it otherwise
edit2: I think I found the latest bios (1702) here: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=210531 - let me know if that's no good with the 9450... until then, I'm on a search for a q9450 stable OC template to start from![]()

do you guys use the standard BIOS or mBIOS in the other thread?? I'm going to try the mBIOS and start with settings I found from someone who has similar hardware as I do:

same mobo and a q9450 here...mine runs on very low voltage so no lower voltages aren't strange......I wouldn't recommend jumping to 3.6 right from 2.6....remember right now your fsb is at 333, instantly jumping it to 463 wouldn't be so smart, and I almost new to overclocking and I know this

Hello Again
If you remember the problem i had.
Now i supposed a problem of compatibility between C0 Step CPU's and My Mobo and i changed my CPU to an E8600 Step E0 to test this.
The result is the same, at High FSB (over 430Mhz) and using the system playing, the system freezes like with the CPU before.
I writed on Asus forum too and i fuond a person that have the same problem.
So i think that is really annoing cause potentially i can run 500Mhz FSB and test it without problems but when i go in High Stress while Gaming it does not work.
The only thing is to hope that Asus solve this little problem.
At the moment My system runs 420x10 CPU FSB and Memory is @560Mhz, no issues and all voltages at minimum SB 1.20 NB 1.20 CPU 1,25V.
I will give you more feedback if i find something new.

OK i have a asus P5Q3 deluxe, an intel E8600, and gskill ddr3 1600 RAM, I so far have only been able to over clock it to 4.4 Ghz stable, with my CPU voltage at 1.462. With at 10x CPU ratio with and FSB of 440. But i see that theres alot of diff. options i could change to maybe get it faster. I want to try to push 5 GHz on this CPU, but i cant keep it stable. I would like to know even if the mobo is able to do that. And if it is how can i do that.
P.S. temp. is not a problem at 4.4Ghz on a full load its still running a 25 to 29 C.
