Finally have my system built to the point where I can start to overclock. Now all I have to do is read through 5000 odd posts to glean as much wisdom as possible. This thread rocks, it is a small part of the reason I picked the lt p35-t2r in the first place. I am on air and am trying to get my cooling wired first. My Xigmatek HDT-S1283 seems to be doing the trick. 20 at idle and just over 40 at load via Guardian. However, Core Temp is showing my cores about 10 degrees higher than that. Is this normal? Also, my dominator's are rated for 2.1 volts but I had to set the voltage to 2.2 volts in bios for Guardian to show 2.12 volts. Isn't that a lot of drop?

    This is my setup:
Intel E8200 with Xigmatek HDT-S1283 sitting on it
    DFI UT P35 T2R
    Crucial BallistiX PC8500 2*1gb 1066 cl5
    GeForce 8800 GTS 320mb
    Samsung T166 500Gb
    Samsung Sata DWD drive
    Antec NeoHE 430W

Hey guys, I have read alot of this topic, and succeeded to get my E8200 to be stable at 8 x 500, in normal use its rock solid and orthos ran couple hours without errors. But when I try to play NFS Pro street I get bluescreens all the time, COD4 runs great many hours. I use these settings in BIOS:

    CPU vcore: AUTO
    CPU special add: 112.28%
    NB voltage: 1.57V
    MEM: 2.27V
    CPU PLL: 1.75v
    Clockgen: 3.60V
    CPU VTT: 1.250V
    C1E and EIST enabled
    Vcore droop control: enabled
GTL values: are something like this Core0/Core1/NB : 62/60/63
MEM is set at 1:1 divider, and I run it @ 1000Mhz 4-4-4-12 with no problems.

I only have problems with NFS pro street. I'd like to get it run stable too, what should I do, and could someone explain how to get right GTL values. I took those from this topic. What does CPU VTT voltage do? Your help is needed!

No, I have changed Vcore via special add, so I can use power saving options, in idle it drops voltages to 1.2 and frequency to 3000mhz and in load it jumps to 1.3 and frequency to 4000mhz. Any other suggestions?

Has anyone tried the new 9/19 bios yet? I was curious to know if it has a new 4:3 memory divider that works with the QX9770[1600FSB].
I will eventually get a Xeon 3110 or E8600 and I am interested in the divider if there is one.I'm relatively new to overclocking (~1 year) and I greatly appreciate any input from experiences that anyone would care to share with me.
P.S. Has anyone tried PNY XLR8 DDR2-1173 in this board, perhaps even a P4 with hyper threading just for kicks?!

Anyone please? What should I put for GTL ? What are max CPU vtt and PLL volts for 24/7 use?

GTL settings are different for everyone. No one can tell you exactly what to do. Just read this article a couple times: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3129

    This will also help http://edgeofstability.com/index.html

    Leave PLL minimum

Set VTT to whatever it needs to be to run stable, none of the dual cores I have had need more than 1.3v so start minimum & work up.

I think the 12-24 BIOS is pre 45nm. It's a great BIOS BTW.
But if you have a 65nm CPU you can use any of the newer BIOS' too.

i think the 11-07 is the pre-45nm bios. it has a problem with the 7.5 multi
but if you have e8600 you can get 11:29x-3xx in 400x10 1:1
i don't know if it's gonna work with e8400 E0 but i think it would.
    because my friend did 11:29x in 400x10 E8600 1:1 with bios 0317

Been testing my new Ballistix Tracer 16FD3 8500 on the LT P35, 400FSB 2:3 divider. I was encouraged by the fact that for this speed (600MHz CAS5) the sticks only need voltage set to 2.03V in the BIOS for memtest stability and figured they'd do 650MHz easily, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Zsamz must have made a deal with the devil or something for his crazy low-voltage high clocks.

Is anyone here successfully running 2 x 150GB Velociraptors in RAID-0 on this board without issues? I went through a hell of a time getting RAID to work on two 300GB Velociraptors when I built my dads computer back in May. I have read of numerous issues of lockups, freezes and event viewer errors when trying to run Velociraptors in RAID on onboard Intel based controllers.

Probably nothing, but have you actually memtested the RAM at those settings? Since it is rated for cas 5 @ 533Mhz, why not drop just back to cas 5 and see if you still BSOD?

I'm afraid not. You can only run it at X4 or X1 by changing it in the bios
under the Genie bios field but, if you run it at x4 you lose your second Gigabit
Ethernet port because of how the PCI Express lanes are split up and used ;(

If I upgrade to an (45nM)E8500,etc..... is a clear cmos good enough or is it recommended to use all of the clearing jumpers(cmos, wont boot, and RTC) with this board?
Also are there any FSB speeds on this board where the PCI Express [Lock] unlocks and requires a PCI [Lock] setting of 101MHZ? I have heard of this before as a general experience but I am not sure if this even happens anymore.

Any help with this query is most appreciated

    hey guys
    im back again
i love this board man and this forum even more. ive built so manny systems thus far and have seen much strange behavior when it comes to putting computers together.
but this by far is one of the strangest yet. last weekend i just swaped one of my drives for a much larger one. went through all normal procedures in swapping it. not much science there anyways. so as im beggining to reboot my system it started going into this strange loop of rebooting. heres what happens. power button is pressed. system starts to boot and 3 seconds shuts down. scratching my head it reboots 4 seconds later only to shutdown again. i dont even get to the dfi screen yet. this gets very repititious. as im tripping out the thing i noticed is that when i reest my system bios to factory state, she boots normally. i got back into bios reloaded to load my last bios and bammmm, the rebooting starts all over again. reset bios. reboot, re-enter bios to reload. wash rinse and repeat a few times and finally my system boots up. this has my scratching my head bigtime. any 1 ever experience anything like this?
i just reupdated my bios to latest release. and still happens. im overclocked. yes i am. i think my settings are not to conservative but not too exagerated either. all parts in my tower work fine. so wat in the world could this problem be comming from? doubt its my powersupply. computer reboots and stays running fine for hours at a time
lol this one got me good.
    any help?
    thanks guys for reading
    peace
