look at it this way;At the same speed the nehalem runs app 10C hotter than the Q6600 fromk what I see at least on WCG.
Since they are in the same house(envirionment) this is a fair comparision:
My Q6600 at 3600 runs at 51C at 100% load
The Nehalem just 30 ft away on the same floor in the same temps(maybe 1-2F higher as it's in the office and thats a smaller room with just one door, runs at 61C at 3733mhz
A little faster but the 10C difference is a damned close one to use for comparision.
Also usefull is that even when I benched it at 4226mhz the temps never went over 65C so I think with water 4000 for 24/7 work at a temp in the 50's is very doable.

    To Bowman:
I don't know what your using for cooling but those temps would scare me.
    I'm using Diamond 7 TIM with a TRUE and a 87CFM 120x38 fan
Yeah well, I'm shooting for 4,8-5Ghz 24/7 WCG stable on a 965EE. Something you probably can't do on water.
10C higher temp is fine with me, approx. Coretemps of my Q6600 are around -15 loaded, so -5 is fine with me.

Sadly the sensors don't work below a certain value, so my readout stays the same whether it's idle or load
