i think however that PC probe temp readings are wrong. it reads about 10ºc higher than everything else.

    Two quick questions I didn't find answers to;

So has anybody has any success running 8GB at 1066?

And if it's not possible is one better off running 8GB with 800 memory instead?

Well running Men. at 1066 may not be the fastes set-up . For me running my men. @ 1000 and 2500 NB/HT linkspeed is faster than running my men. at 1066 2000 NB/HT link speed . I can not over clock my men. hight enought @ 1066 to beat out the 1000 2500 NB/HT link speed setup . Just something to think about .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that Everest and some other voltage monitoring software don't read the 12v correctly if your P/S has multiple 12v rails.

Wow how did i miss that Sig... A X2 will not run in 1066 mode...You must raise the HTT to 266 and use a low ram divider to get 1066mhz..

266x2(half divider i believe is 400ram divider so setting ram too 400 and raising HTT to 266 should work...keep the HT @ around 2000 untill you get your ram where you want it..

    266HTT and 400ram divider = 532x2 = 1064mhz(1066ram)

I forgot Only Phenoms IMC/integrated memory controler can use the 1066 divider most any Bios ,,unless you have a 2xcore Phenom..K10 the IMC then can access 1066..

If you are using a X2 like in your sig..You must use High HTT to achieve high freqency ram...Youll set your ram timing and the Volts@ the specs of your ram for 1066..

If you dont know what timing to use,,Install CPU-Z and in Memory Tab it will show the timing your curently at..In SPD tab it will show volts/timing to set if your Ram has a EPP setting

    Hope that helps ya,
    gOtVolTage

P.S. Phenom can run HTT292 with this Mobo,, X2's can run 320+htt..so youll be able to use 266+HTT,, just lower your HT and ram divider till you get to 266htt and 1064mhz on the ram. the Higher the HTT the lower CPU multi you need to set also.

    UPDATED,, UPDATED,,
Crap change your sig to Phenom! You had me comfused,,

The info Posted above applies if you cant use 1066 divider or have a X2,,

Set the ram in you Bios to what ever setting is close to 1066 with out going over 1066mhz...The Bios will show exactly what freqency your ram will run(be set at) with each Ram divider if you select manual divider and timing

Its cool been there done that ..

    Hope it works.

Your settings will look something like this,,
The higher you adjust the HTTabove 200 it will readjust the dividers to read what your ram will be set to..Keep it at 1066 or lower unless you know the ram clocks above 1066..

Make shure you set the correct volts for your ram to run 1066..some chips have a higher volt value to run 1066 instead of 800. My vipers run 800 @ 1.8volts and 1200 @ 2.3volts. Each Ram manufactur is different when it comes to Volts running 1066.
