    First ,,
Set your Ram timing to Auto with 2T Enabled then select 1068....
If that works you can lower your timing after.

Ganged mode usually is the fastest and most stable,,
look for a setting that has Ganged Mode..it will be defaulted to (AUTO)

    ****Set it to Ganged****..

If that dosnt work then try Unganged..

    Note: IMPORTANT
Make shure you Ram volts are set to run 1066.(factory spec of your ram volts)
Make shure your using yellow Ram slots for dual channel mode .You may need to raise your NBvolts some for 4gigz even though your usin two sticks..It puts a litte more load on the IMC/CPU when running 4g's.I only add volts if its not stable

under jumper free config, go to Memory Configuration. Then there find the option that says memory ganged. Make sure it is enabled. and not disabled.

DDR3 cannot fit in DDR2 slots can it?

EDIT: DDR3 and DDR2 both have 240pin so maybe they are compatible with each other.

You can't put DDR3 module into DDR2 slot, but the AM3 CPUs will include "hybrid" DDR2/DDR3 integrated memory controllers, so you will able to use AM3 CPU in your AM2+ board with proper BIOS.

That is what I like about somewhat future proofing of my 9950BE.

Can get new board and not have to do a total overhaul of parts. Not like the norm with new RAM, CPU, and maybe GPU.

It is not ideal for idle if that is what you are quoting? Idle or Load?

Load that is good...Ideal that is higher then you would like.

What are you cooling it with?

3/8ths is a good divisor...all you need to wory about is running your ram at what you want speed wise and that is 1066..

AMD's clock totaly different from Intel..so the Divisor can pretty much be what ever ,,as long as you dont exceed your Max ram Overclocks..If you have1066 just stay close to 1066 or lower..If you know your ram can clock above 1066 then by all means try to MOVE the HTT up a little while using the same Ramdivider (youll push the ram higher..In the Bios it will show how much youve gone over 1066 if you choose to do so

For Now keep it simple find out what works and how high you can push your CPU xmulti while using 2000nb and 1066ram..

Then you can go back into Bios once your CPU is Overclocked and look at ram Freqency to see if you can go higher with it..

Takes time to tweak,,Phenom in general( B3) is by all means a nice platform to tweak...It will only get better.

    P.s.
I go by the Freqency of my Ram. The Diviser CPU-Z shows is what the CPU and Ram run at for that freqency...youll notice that it will set what ever divisor depending on Freqency ,, ram divider and the Multi the CPU uses..It will change when you change ,,Lower,, raise ram or Lower ,,raise CPUxmulti..

Nothing is wrong in that aspect at all

Hey IS THAT IDLE OR LOAD TEMP? sorry for yelling
    XRodgerX,,

if thats @ Idle check your CPU volts and ACC disabled ..Run 1.35v for CPU and NB volts @ stock clocks then Post a Idle temp..50c is more of a load temp ,,So if its 50c at idle you may need to check how the Heatsink is mounted and or if your giving it too much volts..That ZALMAN can keep it @ 28-30c with 3.0ghz easy @ Idle

That is a good fan...as asked and ChickenPatty asked...is that load or idle?

You may need to reset the HSF and make sure you use some good AS5 and not goop it on

Also if you have CPU tweak on (asus board) that will make your temps climb like an extra 10ºc, but it does give you a nice performance boost though

in your bios under the CPU configuration (when set to manual) there is an option called CPU Tweak. It gives you a good boost in performance, but does increase temps a lot. Maybe that will yield better temps and a better overclock

if it is enabled, disable it, maybe since your temps will drop, you can achieve a better overclock. Just try it out, if not you can always revert to the current settings.

bro, I dont know if to get the Deneb or not. I mean, the Nehalem are looking good However, I dont want to get a whole new system, while getting the deneb I can keep board, and RAM.

About Corrossion, no bro, not that I can see or tell yet.
