Damn, that really makes me happy for not having had a single problem in the 17 years I walk this Earth...

    Think so.

Remember, abscesses are serious infections as well. There's a LOT of stuff in there that can hurt me.

However, I do have a good oral surgeon. She takes good care of me...

Morning all, work today, and to be damned if I don't have to walk the three miles to it. Mother-in-law isn't ere today, and we had planned on it when my wife took day shift.

    Bugger.

Update: Plans were made for me, they just didn't tell me. Now I can assault you all for about an hour longer.

The female cat sits in front of the tv, looks at me, looks at the tv, meows and then starts again - until I give in and put on mouse tv. Do you believe that after a week of chowing down on poison bait, this damn mouse is still alive? Could it be a franken-mouse? It is definitely one ugly little jiz wad. It's got a huge, ugly nose that would embarrass even Carl Malden. But I've got some glue traps I'm going to try. First I'm going to try plugging the hole and seeing if that stops him.

In the meantime, my stomach has been speaking in tongues all morning. I have no idea what's going on there.

Started getting back into my workouts yesterday. Did almost 1.5 miles at 9.5% incline and barely broke a sweat. Having the house temp at 68F helps a lot though.

psst do you actually see them eat the poison the reason I say that is we had chipmunks in our garage and to get out they would chew though the bottom of our new garage door. and we put out poison bait for them to eat and they were gone in less then 2 days for all 3 5oz. packs. They were saving it for winter so they were just playing with it; I bet that the mouse/rat is doing the same thing. Then you put a mouse trap that will kill him the next time he comes out. then get him to come out of his hole and it will be problem solved

That's a good point. I see on the mouse cam that it is gnawing but I can't tell if it is swallowing . . . that didn't come out right. what I mean is that it might be cheeking it and then going back to it's nest. But I have escalated the battle . . .

I've never seen a rat - and I used to go to school in Newark so I know what they look like. Although the ones up there were big enough to carry a rider. You'd get 2 or 3 panhandling as you were walking to the train station.

This guy is definitely a mouse - just a fat, ugly one.

I've got glue traps and I put peanut butter in the middle plus I put some on a few of the traps. Bhwahahaha!

This mouse is a smartazz. He actually kicked one of the traps off the ledge because it was in his way - bastage!

But I plugged the hole with steel screening. There is a gap on either side of the joist and I jammed the screening in pretty thoroughly. However he may already be in the basement so I'll have to check the mouse cam and see what is going on. If I capture his slow painful death on tape, I'll post it for everyone. Hehehe.

Sticky traps are such fun...if you have someone you really need to annoy just place a sticky trap under their desk so when they take off their shoes and stretch out WAHAHAHAHAA!

Care to explain to this uneducated barbarian what a sticky trap is? Is the sticky trap just a kind of pad with some sort of uber-glue on it, or is there more to it than that? Down here, we use the old-school spring-loaded trap that kills those bastards dead. None of this "humane" capturing it alive crap so you have to kill it later on

    Here you go.

They're scared to death so you don't have to kill them - although in the meantime they pizz and shizz all over the place. But if the mouse is too smart to go for the trap, you don't have a lot of options.

I also have a trap that will electrocute them, but I can't find that one.

Yes, I meant to ask this yesterday too.

I caught the mouse and I'm pretty sure it's the same one - he just couldn't resist the peanut butter - hehehe - xveinx. In fact, he's got pb shooting out of his mouth as the spring trap snapped his little neck - boo-hoo. I'll post pix if anyone is interested.

Now I have to review the video to see if he got past my defenses or if he was already in the basement when I plugged the holes.
