Where did the fillrate, bandwidth, texturing advantages go? You have a chip half the size of the other that is unplayable.
Future games will be made close to this type of specifications. Starting with Operation Flashpoint 2, but it'll be widespread in a while.
ATI can spam a LOT of shader units and even TMUs inside their chips without using much die size. The same does NOT go for nVidia.
