GREAT i think i figured why my burst rate was so low, the jumper was in the drive limiting its transfer to the sata1 setting! wont be sure if that fixes it till this sat when i get my q9550 as the system is taking a break in pieces. the stupid thing is i have had the drive like this the whole time for approx 6 months and if it wasnt for this thread i would never have realized!

so thankyou fade2green514, if it wasnt for you i would have never realized the problem i didnt know i had now untill i d/l your link! lmao. look 4ward to the new post of what im hoping wil be an average burst rate with the q9550
