OK so after what feels like a year. I finally got to squeeze a few hours in to spend with the rig.

I drained, flushed and refilled my system and changed from red to blue. I felt the red looked more pink than anything and I wasn't happy so blue it is! also I got the sunbeam rheobus and took off the faceplate and replaced it with the brushed aluminum "blank" that came with my case per Cloxxer's suggestion. I think it looks great and WAY easy to do drill a few 1/4" holes for the LED's and a few 3/8" holes for the controllers. I also added a small switch in it as well for my UV lights that I wired together to use 1 switch. Here are some pics of it

Before I refilled my system I had to switch the tubes on the waterblock because the apogee GTZ has a directional flow to it and I had the input on the output barb.

The downside was that I had to move my HDD's down to the basement area of the case but even that wasn't so bad, less visible wires and Now there are 4 san ace fans across and it looks cool. Almost all the fans are San ace now and the ones that aren't....will be soon

I used some black poster board in a few spots to cover up and give a more finished look to anything I felt needed it. I just did it quickly and I am going to re do it with better cuts when I get a chance.

I changed the "drainport" from the red anodized to a delrin one to avoid corrosion

Here are some different angles and different parts. I have more and a youtube vid that is uploading I will add them later guys.

So I am going to officially upgrade this version to 1.6 because I am almost done with this one but I have some plans for the near future

Thanks so much man, really. Yeah the pink wasn't looking too cool at all and I can't believe I almost bought the controller from PPCS for $40 more pre modded. It took all of 15 min to do and easy as hell. Next I have to put the lan li casters on...looking at it now I prob should have done that first DOH!

Looks great man, you did a hell of a lot better than I did my first go around.

One suggestion, in the future if you're looking for something a little more maintenance free and cost affective, you could try Distilled water and some biocide. Just my .02, great build man.

    Hey there.

I have the switch you used and the washer with the funny looking right angle metal bit is suppose to go behind the face plate. If you look at the center where the switch passes through, you will see it has a 'finger' that goes into the grove of the switch. Soooooo when it is on the other side and facing the other way, that little metal thing at the top presses on the top of the red box behind the switch to stop movement.

I know I suck at explaining it but I thought I would try to explain it XD. I don't think it's going to make that much of a difference anyway.

Thanks so much. I thought I was soooo cleaver when I wanted to mount it horizontal and I thought I was original as well....until I came here. A good friend said to me when it comes to WC a rig there isn't an original idea anymore it's been done already. TBH people said it wouldn't work this way but mine does just fine. I am OCing here to 3.6 now and am getting temps around 30 idle and 44 loaded with occt for 6 hours so I think I'm doing OK I did have alot of fun, I already want to build a dual loop but I think I want to wait for the Nehlam CPU's first and throw some money into one of those bad boys so I gotta save up a bit.

Funny I do know exactly what you mean.I thought that was for a wood installation where the finger would press into the wood and keep it from spinning. I tightened it pretty good and it doesn't spin now so I'll prob jus leave it

very clean job. nice alum support. good blue color, seems better for gigabyte mobo...

(i like tube routing with water flowing from bottom inlet to top outlet, which your mosfet is not, something to to with trap air bubbles...)

Never thought of it like that, I did it this way because it looked better IMHO. The other way there would be a big X there and I feel it would look less clean. There is no air in that part of the system at all. any air gets trapped in the res and is sent up the fillport tube if it were to become too much. My idea anyway.

    very nice Detale.
i saw some anti-kink coils there. aren't you putting them on the tubes?
although by the looks of it, you won't have any kink problems with those near routes you have there!

I was going to put them on but in all honesty I forgot. Then I liked the way it looked without them so I may put them on in the near future but as of now I think I'll leave them off.

Nice work! I'll be doing my first WC setup this week too. I like the horizontal reservoir! Sorry if I missed it in the original post, but what are you using for coolant and dyes? The blue looks much better than the red did imo. And, surprisingly, the bracket you made for your video card actually creates a cool seperation in the case, looks good!

No problem I went with Feser Blue UV this time and I am happy with the results. I cannot say enough how easy the bracket was. It was $3 or so at home depot. I bent it with a pair of pliers and drilled two small holes. Easy peezy and cheap too.
