Thanks for the complements. I just happened to walk into Microcenter today looking for some pci-e power extension cables and just happened to pick up an EO stepping E8400. Oops..
Look at it, such a cute box.

Lol, you got bit by the impulse bug tooI think I have an epidemic on my hands
Lets see some clocks from the puppy!
Hey BA, do you have a link to pictures of the Swifty NB for the Max II formula?
Looking for one and cannot find it anywhere. I know I saw it once![]()
I see Overclockers Anonymous in your future. We are going to have to rush over, take are time picking the best of your hardware, before rushing you to session.
"Hi, I am BA and I have a problem."
That's how it all starts...but we can help you...
edit: Please let us know how the E8400 clocks. If it is anything like the E8600's you will have a winner on your hands. Where did you find one so quickly?

OVERCLOCKERS MAG..http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=197660
This is the only one I've seen. Hopefully it will be out soon.
Believe me, I have issues. I'm actually getting sick of buying crap I surely don't need. I decided to buy another cpu since I sent Buckeye my good E8500 so I needed a replacement. Hopefully 6ghz is in his future.
I bought it from a local Microcenter. I just happened to walk in looking for something else and they were just putting them on the shelves. They were confused as the box was smaller. I just snatched one up for $149.
Smaller box and SLB9J is the code you're looking for. Look at the two boxes and see the differences.
There is one in St. Louis Park just off of Hwy 100 and 36th street. I just happened to find it completely by chance shortly after I first moved here.
Unfortunately my wife doesn't share the same enthusiasm for computers. She just uses a small 13" laptop, but she never stops me from having my fun, she's pretty great. She prefers this hobby more than she did my motorcycle and watercraft hobby. Thanks for the appreciation.
Also I've had some issues with the V2000 build. I first installed the EO E8400 and had some problems to get my motherboard to boot. It took me a good day to clear some CMOS ERR code. It works now, but I had to disassemble everything. I also had a problem with my 9800gtx. After I installed the XSPC 9800gtx waterblock I could not get it to work. No output, amber light on the back, and it looks fine. I removed it from the system and checked contact, which was perfect with every component. The block very perfectly put on, not overtightened and the card was not bowed. The gpu did not chip and the TIM was perfect on there. I installed the air cooler and had the same symptoms. Bummer.
I also haven't had the most fun with this T-line, so I'll be either getting a new reservoir or changing something.
So, I think I should at least get the TJ07 build going while the V2000 build is in a short hiatus. I haven't bought the tubing yet for the TJ07, any ideas? I have some green Feser one coolant that I thought about using, but not stuck on it. Give me some ideas.![]()
Thought you had an aquabay for the resevoir??
Asus P6T, I7-920, 6gb ocz xmp, 4890, Raid 0-1 Terabyte, full watercooled - Triple Loop 5 radiators
Yeah I do, but that's a separate loop with just my Aqua Computer gear in it.
Aquabay restube
AquaXtreme Eheim pump
2 Aqua Drives
Aqua computer 120.2 radiator
Aquaero
I think that's it, just a small loop with my old stuff.
I wanted to create another loop with items that would be better for upgrades and to keep the system up to date easily. I probably won't even use this computer much, so a lot just for show and one a friend can use when they come over.
Thanks for the Swiftech pic. I think I will be getting one when it comes out![]()
Sorry to here about you problems BlueAqua. Hope you get things sorted.

BlueAqua...I've been meaning to ask you about the Cuplex XT DI. I have an opportunity at getting the silver version of the block. Now that I'm using a dual core again, I think the Cuplex will work nicely. Going to have a 4.5GHz overclocked rig cooled by AC!
Anyway, my question is this. How did the Cuplex affect flow in your rig? If you have a EK Supreme how does it compare?
Mick64 feel free to jump in as I know you have a Cuplex DI as well.

Thanks for the kind words. Your testing of the Cuplex DI really encouraged me to buy AC again, thanks for all of your hard work.
I'll have a new 9800gtx on Tuesday, which is tomorrow. Yay. I should be able to get it at least closer to being done, but I still have to buy a res.
It's hard to tell how much it prevents flow but I still have a lot of water coming into and out of my res. I don't have an Ek Supreme, just a pair of Cuplex DI's, an old Cuplex EVO, and the Swiftech GTZ now. I had a pair of Fuzions that I sold, but I absolutely love the Cuplex DI.
Is TopNurse still around? If so, where?
Seems like we have our own Aqua Computer crowd here. I've been contemplating on getting and AC gpu block but haven't decided yet. If there is a group buy stateside sometime I might be interested.

Yeah, I see her on the AC English forum every once and a while but she has been banned from just about every hardware forum on the internet. She is about the only one that I know who would have ordered one unless Rocky from Texas ordered one. I remember Wes at Sharka used to tell me Rocky was spending a trendous amount of money on AC gear. Since Sharka all but stopped carrying AC I fell out of the loop. It was bad for the wallet when they did since I live about 3 miles from their shop.
I am about two seconds from the AC 4850 blocks but really want to wait for a 4870X2.
ShoNuff and RickCain, did you guys ever order from SNT Systems back in the day? That seems so long ago now, but what ever happened to that guy?
I think we need a group buy of 3+ 4870x2 AC Blocks.
Another AC point I thought you guys might like to hear about. I just heard from an old friend who I built a computer for full of AC gear 3 years ago. He still is running it today with the same tubing and he's only had to top off his fluid every once and a while. It's definitely mixed metals but he says it still runs cool and works like a champ. I was surprised to hear that, but goes to show that I guess it actually works pretty well. Who would have thought you could go that long without taking apart your loop.
Yep, I tried to help SNT out when he was taking profits from the company to buy cars and crap instead of filling orders and growing the business. I forget his name (Dan I think) but remember many telephone calls with him trying to make him understand business. SNT ended up owing a ton of money and just disappeared. Many months later I bought some AC stuff from him off Ebay. Top Nurse and I begged Wes at Sharka to carry AC to backfill the loss. Too bad it is so damn hard to be a distributor of AC as it could have been a good thing for us in the USA. Sad part is Wes was flown the Germany to see AC's operations and they still couldn't ship orders within months at a time. I'll never forget Sharka ordering 20 AquaDucts only for AC to release a new model before they arrived. Sharks pretty much ate 8-10k worth of product that wouldn't move.
As for the group buy, I'm game even if I don't need it. Not sure if we can get any discounts from AC but worth a try.
You know to be honest I never had one problem with my older AC gear even though it had Alu and copper..... Some distilled water and Aquafluid and I was good to go.
I remember talking to Dan quite a bit too and I really wanted his business to be successful. I'm sure I spent enough there to at least give him a boost, but like you said, he just wasted it. What I don't understand is how Ek gets parts over stateside really fast and Aqua Computer can't even sell directly to the US. It's too bad Sharka could never reduce the shipping time between AC and their shop, I'm sure that kills their sales. How often do you want to pay a premium and get it months behind other competitors.
I'm not sure if we can get much of a discount but I could look into it and at least save on shipping costs. I could easily not do it too, not a whole lot I need right now, but I could probably buy a block.
I had a little discoloration in my tubing after a while but never did see any corrosion in my setups. Seems like I put more work into cleaning my system before an install now than I used to but I never felt I had to before. I never had anything dirty or filled with flux that happens sometimes today. I never had any issues with a block not fitting, quality control issues or any dis-satisfaction from my previous purchases. I think that's probably the reason why I chose them in the first place. I like quality.
This is why I am so fustrated with watercooling and how people constantly defend companies even though they clearly do not do their research prior to releasing a product.
You you very right though, I just used to buy my AC goods and slap it in without any fear it not fitting or working right. Now I spend all weekend posting pictures of alpha stage products that just don't work right.
Sorry, long time without an update.
I was waiting on some new parts and a slight issue with one of my orders but it's all been straightened out.
I bought an Ek Multi-Option Res 100 and that will make bleeding 1000 times easier. I replaced the tubing with Feser 3/8" ID blue tubing and turned the case into a spaghetti machine.
I'll be done with this one shortly, I just need to apply the finishing touches I hope. Soon will start the great TJ07 build, and it might even look similar to Turtletrax's TJ07. For whatever reason we have a lot of the same tastes in hardware and we share a lot of our ideas with each other. We'll see how that one comes along but I'm excited.
Here are the mandatory progress pics (never mind the random yellow sata cable. That's there to transfer stuff over to the new raid when I set that up.):
