Talking PCMark 05 World Record Set

    CPU: QX9650 @ 5355MHz : 465x11.5 @ 2.02v @ -84C
    MB: Gigabyte EP45T-Extreme F3I BIOS
    RAM: Corsair 2x1GB PC3-14400 C7 Dominators @ 2.16vdimm
    GFX: EVGA GTX 280
    PSU: PCP&C 1kW

Gautam came down to Atlanta for a weekend of benching with our sole goal being PCMark 05. I had another 180L dewar delivered just so we wouldn't run out and we had a stack of hardware for backups. Ironically the one thing we could have used a backup for, the CPU, we only had a bad and a worse one available. That being said, here's the results after only our 2nd serious run

PCMark2005 28,000 PCMarks for Global Publishable World Record

    Validation Link

    Note:
Ram was really running the 2:3 divider even though CPU-Z says 3:5. PL was set to 6 and sub-timings weren't really tweaked.
The QX9650 was a piece of garbage. It was coldbugging around -87C at idle and CBB even warmer. Gautam almost gave up on the chip, wanted to go to Fry's and buy another CPU, I would say he owes me $999 now..

Thanks to all those involved in making this happen including but not limited to g h z and sno.lcn for the i-rams, Gigabyte for the EP45T-Extremes, Corsair for the memory, and AirGas for the killer price for LN2

Yeah PCM is kinda ridiculous like that. We specifically went for valid publishable runs. Chris is hell bent on knocking out some runs with 7 I-RAMs etc, maybe we'll try that sometime lol.

Thanks Chris for all the hospitality, and congrats on your anniversary Mike, we'll meet next time.

Awesome job guys, I wish my weekend was as productive, I can't wait to see the 7 I-Ram Runs, I hope it stays a record long enough for you to break your own.

jimmyz - it would be very hard to get a valid score with 7 i rams... its hard to do sometimes with just 3. You get a result but the ORB wont accept it. would be cool just to know what the score would be though...

We already got 4 i-Rams working() and I suspect we can get 5 to scale but past that might be a bit hard. Also running out of SATA ports on the EP45T-Extreme

Yup! We had 3 i-rams in 1 EP45T-Extreme that was sitting at stock speeds just to power the i-rams up and then the main rig had just the OS drive attached to it.

PCMark is something I really like also. My Raid will very soon be 9 SSD's as I want to totally cap this ARC-1231ML.

It's very exciting to me to see what you did on those tests. Think of what this HDD score could have added to your results.

    For a Raid 5 run with 8x SSD's I hit 37k HDD score with 3DMark Vantage
For a Raid 0 run which I have to resetup I was hitting close to 70k

In WinXp Ihave seen numbers close to 90k by DVnation on 3DMark 05
