IMHO, the trick to fishkeeping is staying on top of maintenance. It's my hobby so I actually enjoy doing the water changes, water testing and whatnot. Like anything, the more you inform yourself the better. I'd never buy a new fish without first researching it thoroughly. I could go on for hours but I'm going to stop now before I put everyone to sleep.

Seriously, $600 shipping doesn't scare me.
Oh, they'll be available in AUS my man. Fear not, shipping will be a lot less than that.

Charles, will MurderMod only focus on TJ07s?

I was actually wondering if a 'mini murderBox' could be made out of the new Silverstone FT01 (to be released in September)... The TJ07 is beautiful but a bit big for my needs, the size of the FT01 would be perfect for me!

More info about the FT01 in this thread

Just read through the whole thread and even though it has been said a thousand times..that is one amazing build...words have left me..I'm speechless !!

Cant wait to the parts are available, then I can start modding my own TJ07..it just looks plain boring when you see the likes of Charles builds.

From what I can tell, I don't think the Turbo-Cool (1k and over) PSUs will fit inline with the PA120.2 - it looks too long. I reckon it would have to go on the other side and overlap the rad slightly.

I've been looking at that case and have a few ideas. Unfortunately, it will be a while before I can have at it - just too much going on. I know my limit and I'm already past it.

    No.

I hate to be vague but that's all I can say at this time.

    Cheers Gab.

When I 1st heard about this product I was very excited. After seeing it however, my enthusiasm has wavered slightly. I think it's too small for LC - without having to mount stuff outside anyway.

Something I've been thinking about; I think the TJ07 could be 3" shorter and 4" less deep and still offer the same capabilities. That may not sound like a big difference in size but I think it would translate to an optimally sized LC case. Worth exploring anyway.

I used to plug them all with silicone tapered plugs but at the advice of Nils, I've since stopped. Screws go into powder coated threads no problem. When I think of all the hours I've spent twisting those infernal plugs into threads...

Good to hear that my experience is also good for your local production!

Screws actually go easily into threads of "good powdercoated" items. But an Austrian friend just (yesterday) experienced that his threads were stuffed badly when he got his Lian Li back from his local powdercoater in Austria. He tried to clean the threads and two were useless after it.

Good Powdercoater = no need to plug things into the threads
Not-So-Good Powdercoater = better plug things into the threads

As always - things seem to depend on the quality of the service-provider

Hey disrupt. Every Powdercoater has silicone-plugs for these purposes. Just ask them and show them your parts and they will give you the right ones. They will propably be able to tell you if its necessary or not

    ok i will ask cheers....

response: The screws are best if you can push them through a piece of cardboard, that way we don’t coat the threads and they don’t get lost.

I don't know what that means

i think he means if you want the screws to get powder coated, you would push the screws into some cardboard so that only the heads would get coated and the threads would be left untouched. i think he misinterpreted your question.

i believe the backplate is custom. the top plexi was custom, front panel custom, so pretty much all of it was custom and charles could give details on having that work done.
