Hehe, nice stuff m8 You should try to OC them a little bit, just to see how bad they are Hopefully theyll be very "uncoldbugged", though

you know: good low voltage cpu's are most not good with high voltage/clocks.. or has a horrible coldbug.

I don't think that chip has a bug that's SO bad. Most B1 chips from about the same week +- 6 weeks don't It seems as if the latest chips have the worst bug (0633 and up). This is a 0620.

My 156 is here, btw I think it can do the same as the 3800+, booted nicely on 3g/1.216v and ran orthos for a couple of minutes before I stopped it. 3.3ghz/1.39v atm, but not stable... My cnps9700nt isn't very flat, only makes contact with 1/3 of the IHS That's why the temps go through the roof at stock voltages

Coldbugwise it should be nice, my 152 can take -15 for 290mhz htt And it's almost the same batch!

    2 FX53's, 1 3200+ sempron, 1 Opty 1218, Opty 144 s940, 3100+ sempron s754, 4 opty 842, 2 2x512mb kits (hopefully BH5, but not sure) and Iwaki RD30 + Meanwell DC power supply unit - that's what I got today

Is that the 6400+ from Dukee ? This should be very good under Dice or LN2

    @ Knut
0620 isnt so ggod I think. should do 3.5 to 3.6 ghz I think.

We'll see how that 0620 does in a little while I'll try it on a TT BT when my Venus arrives.

Btw, 230x14=3220MHz/1.31v is my new 156 24/7 setting

This thing totally smokes everything else I have, the only downside is that the temp sensor is a bit crazy. No idea what to think about the temps. idle in BIOS is 39c at this setting. Core temp reports 22-23c, and 35-36c load. ITE reports 33-34c idle, and 43-44c load.

If the BIOS reading is correct, then this chip should be in the low 50's load. On chips I KNOW have decent temp sensors, the core temp is never lower than ITE temp - so by looking at it that way, the BIOS reding looks most right. The 9700nt I'm using had contact with about a third of the IHS (in the middle, but NOTHING near the edges). After a wuick lapjob it's slightly better, but since all I had was a sheet of 180 grit paper as well as a 400 grit sheet, the results weren't the best. I guess it's having contact with half the IHS now, but it's more scratchy than before.

Any comments about this temp "problem"?

I could give you one screen from my Opteron 156 under air and default vcore....let me search it. I have the same temps like yours so it should be real. Read out with smart guardian and speedfan. Core temp didn´t works correct.

Orthos screen is attached. This is the max frequency this chip can run stable, got a BSOD after a few minutes at 3.3GHz.

Btw, you received my PM about that FX55?

The oldest I have is probably the 3700+ Newcastle. I did buy a 3600+ 0350VPAW, but it was lost somehow...
