Just got one myself and CPU temp is sky high compared to what i used to get with my P35-T2R, 20-23C idle, 44C load at 4000Mhz vs 38C idle / 55C load at stock freq

Could it be because i can't mount the damn TRU properly because of that lame NB heatsink? I have no where to put the fan other then at the top of the case, which of course sucks no air as there are no options up there. Anyone modded their NB heatsink yet to get rid of the thermalright stuff ?

I didn't even start to OC yet but i don't think i'd get anywhere IMO with such high temps @ default frequency.

Another weird problem. When i turn the PC off the motherboard makes a discreet "whine" sound which goes on forever. I have to either turn off the PSU or start the PC to get rid of it. It's really making me drive up the walls here Used stock bios which came with mobo and latest beta from DFI.

Another thing. Any idea why my PC reboots instantly the moment i try to start Everest? I don't know if it's because of the 4870's or the mobo

Edit: as i think about it more it could be my new Corsair 1000W doing the whining. I can't really pinpoint where the sound is coming from.
