V-Sync with all games I play, does framerates in between 30 and 60 fps for example. The difference between VS on and off in terms of performance, is also not very noticable, where tearing certainly is.

Can't live without my VS.
get a faster lcd. :p

tearing shouldn't be a problem with any of the newer lcds.
