Good Job Seba
Now you will see everybody downloading that boot logo
But the old ROG G logo is cool though, I like it for my old Striker Extreme (680i)![]()

Some may recall my recent issues. I am told most likely my memory is bad. Yet they pass memtest. Yet i am getting odd behavior like random bsod's and odd crashes of programs that are not even running. Vista reported windows media player crashed, superfetch and video snapshot, plus once i couldn't boot up cause of a bios checksum. i had a guy look at my minidump logs and he ran it thru a program that says it's all random memory corruption on all the dumps. So he tells me i need new ram. I'm more then happy to do that. The board seems fine and i've reinstalled the os many times. problem just comes back right away. BSOD's seem to happy mostly when playing games. the random program crashes happen several times a day even when the pc is idle. Anyone have similar issues b4?

my bet because of ure tRAS.. u should use 18 for 4gb kits
anyways here is my 24/7 setup.. i love the ReaperX pC2-8000 4gb kit
just increase the cpu voltage from 1.28v stable to 1.31stable
reasoning is because of loadline..
previous experience taught me that dont do exact voltage clocking if u want to use loadline.. if not bsod on idle instead of load
the cpu PLL.. 1.5v is stable.. but at 1.6v i get better constant ram bandwidth when i test with everest... this is debatable as i havent tested this throughly

Kevin
From your sig
Crucial Ballistix 4GB(1000Mhz)5-5-5-15-2 (2.0 Volts)? No way
This is only good for 800MHz, 5-5-5-18-auto (2.0 Volts) with a bit more tRFC than auto.
Well it's your money in case you think your mem is bad.

Actually i am running the ram at 800mhz at 5-5-5-18-2, all settings are actually on auto right now. i havent updated my sig.

Started having issues with my setup of late, on power up im getting a blip of power and nothing. Resetting the PSU by hard turn on and off seems to resolve the issue.
Can be over loading a rail as my fans are on 1 rail and sata drives are on another.
All gfx cards are also on seperate rails (4x8pin and 4x6 pin with this psu)
Once the PC powers on it's running np at all, I'm beginning to think its the mobo tbh, ideas anyone?

hey guys i have a few questions regarding fans and controlling them via the board, am i supposed to be able to control all fan through the mobo?, which program can i use to control it when in the os?(speedfan doesnt work)
one more thing, does anyone know how much amps the mobo can pump through a 3pin fan header?
thx guys

Oh and Vista Ultimate (i know, I KNOW!)
I have had my Striker 2 for a few months or so now and it seems to be running fine(knock on wood). I did a 20% Overclock to 3.0GHz with everything on Auto except the ram@1.96v(auto on 2.2v) . I'm running my ram at 4-4-4-12-1T everything on Auto.
I have been digging around but can't seem to find good overclocking voltages for a Q9300. I also have noticed in Everest that my CPU Clock and Multiplier fluctuates from 2400MHz@6x to the BIOS set 3000MHz @7.5x, is this that vdroop taking affect?
I'm also getting that nasty lockup when playing some videos on Vista x64, not all the time, really random.
Any help would be appreciated.

at default there is no gain at all on 3way sli. i have 2 cards in atm and score the same thing as 3way on 3dmark 06. but turn up the resolution and the aa and af and the scores barely drop. If im not mistaken 1920x1200 8x aa and 16x af scored 16000. the gains r there as well in games, but only if you turn up the res and eye candy. If you have a 24+ monitor it may be worth it. Anything smaller than that and tri-sli is a waste of money. I have 3 gt280's on the way, i think i'll sell one and use the extra space for my xonar. I'm going to run some vantage passes now with the 2 cards and see how it compares to 3.
EDIT: 3 cards scale alot better in vantage. 13,500 2way SLI and 19,500 with 3-way default settings. Thats almost a 50% increase going from 2 cards to 3.

and after only 8 bsod's and it work'd
all voltages are shown in everest cpu temps good for my vapo rebiuld you can have a look at that in the phase change section in this forum
