I’ve finally decided to sell the XSPC DDC Res Top and get a different DDC Top and reservoir.
I’ve narrowed my choices down to:
    • EK-DDC X-RES 100
    • EK-DDC X-TOP
    • XSPC Premium Laing DDC Clear Acrylic Top

I’m currently leaning towards the EK-DDC X-RES 100. Can anyone who has comment about it?

I also played with a Swiftech Micro-Res; I tapped 4 more G1/4” ports and 2 LED ports into it for testing. When I was on tapping the last port I accidently cracked the inside!!!!

get the XSPC. it increases performance and reduces a lot of space. Martinm tested it and liked it best.

The pictures for the tutorial are up on my flickr; I will add more descriptions later!

    Direct link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/2734171...7605473462934/

So I was going to shoot the tutorial with my new D300 but the Lexar 8GB 300x UDMA Compact flash card I bought only showed 950mb once formatted; so I had to shoot the tutorial with my D80.

The first example will be the best. This is because when the corner is filled with liquid, the flow in the bend is liquid on liquid, which will have minimal resistance by providing laminar flow. This type of turn is called a "Flow-T" (upside down T. in this case).

This build is looking great. Can't wait for updates. I love your implementation with the 9800GX2, I think I might steal it.

I’m not even sure I will be using this setup as it may interfere with the second pump and reservoir.

Lol it only kinks; I’m using black Anti-Kink coils with black Feser coolant so aesthetically it works.

Edit: dude, thanks for the tapping pic's - what size drill bits and tap did you use? (M12 1.25 or 1.5?) cheers.

Yea, that picture of the paints was taken with the D300. One of the reasons I really like Flickr is because if you look at the bottom right section of the page there is an “Addition Information” section; which not only lists which camera was used but all of the settings of the camera. One thing this forum seems to be missing is a good photography tutorial. This is XtremeSystems; we need to be able to show them off!

    What you should use is:
11.8mm HSS Drill Bit (make sure it has the right tip so that you “scrape” rather then gouge!)
1/4" BSP with 19 TPI Tap

In my tutorial I’m not using any of the proper sized tools. The tap I have is 20 TPI which is why at the end I have to rethread it with a different fitting. The drill bit I use is very small compared to the 11.8mm HSS Drill Bit you should use but acrylic is very soft so the tap takes care of that.

Oh something about shipping me the wrong parts then telling me that I ordered the wrong parts. “…..you ordered the wrong size! That is not our fault!” this kind of statement just screams great customer service HA HA. All in all if you don’t have to deal with their customer service their alright but don’t bother if you do….
