they are including an overclockers freaking dream but to only have 6 sata ports is rediculous.

come on mobo makers get with the program!!!

other than that i have yet to see a FSB that says anything other than cheap.

come on guys what reason do we have for not showing the highest FSB so far
Please, be patient. I can't test everything in first few days. fsb tests are coming. Peter (Shamino) said, that his quad was doing 480fsb.

About S-ATA ports. Isn't 6x 1TB drives enough for you? I can live with six S-ATA ports easily.

There is some vdroop, but I can't see any problem with that. I haven't seen any HDD corruption so far.

Lestat, how many people do you actually think need 6 SATA ports, let alone more than 6?!?!?
    Wake up.

SF3D, are there measuring points for vCPU etc?

    Measure points are like this:

    1. CPU voltage
    2. CPU PLL Voltage
    3. FSB VTT voltage
    4. Dram voltage
    5. Southbridge / HTT (I have to check this today)

I just read in the BlackOPS thread that the water block cover is actually painted aluminium ?

Can anyone confirm that this is the case with the Dreadnought too ?

It uses the same cover as The blackops, I'll see if manufacturing can look into the top cover

    Thanks.

It won't stop me from buying the board, just that it seems a poor choice considering the quality of these Quantum Force boards if that is the case.

you'd be pretty darned suprised how many people need 6 or more.

    1 for sata burner
6 for hard drives. (raid 5 + a single drive) or multiple RAID 0 or

then you got those that use 2 dvd drives so that leaves 4 ports....

i use 5 ports just in hard drives and would use 8 if it wasn't for my Sata burner. and the lack of 2 more ports.

also there is a retarded trend in mobo makers to put the 2x pci-e port right under the 16x video card port so you cant even use it if you use a double slot card...

Lestat, you are hardly a typical user. 5 SATA disks is normal? RAID is normal? Yeah right

The only problem I see with this board for my use is if I want to run TRI-SLI I cannot run my SSD Raid with the ARC-1231

We will have to wait and see how the retail boards fare, made the mistake of buying the S2E as it had early raving reviews with probably hand picked boards and eventhough am not regretting the purchase yet, I feel like I jumped the gun with the S2E being a hit or miss. Must resist the temptation of getting one as soon as it is released.

+ 1 for using all 6 sata ports(I could use 8). Had to get a stupid IDE DVD drive because the board is limited to 6 ports.

My first build of my current system I used RAID 5 for OS + RAID 0 for games drive. Vista is such a harddisk pig RAID 5 was useless, I had to get an additional disk and move to raid 10 just to make Vista tolerable.
