If I had to guess...probably within a few weeks after the release of the GTX260, or after the price of the GTX280s drop a little. Foxconn is probably waiting to see how people react to the GTX series once things mature and prices stabilize before the board gets unleashed.

Is this board going to be released with a BIOS that is ready for prime time?

I have come to like my BlackOps quite a bit, but I bought it when it first came out and frankly the BIOS did not really work in many ways.

This has now been fixed with the new beta BlackOps BIOS.

But hopefully Foxconn will learn from their mistakes with Blackops and not release Dreadnought until everything is fully functional and stable.

Also hopefully this 790i board will not have the corruption issues of the other 790i boards.

Board looks awesome just as the Blackops board did...but support seemed like it as never there for the Blackops...it was hyped like hell and performed too, but without the support, it isn't worth it...I hope things are different with this one...I was gonna go 790i but the corruption issues steered me away from the Striker II Extreme...I'm hoping th 4870 performs as good as the GTX 280...then we won't need an Nvidia chipset for multi-gpu setups.

    I'm back!

Now is the time to start bench this motherboard seriously. There is new bios available (not public) and it is making my life a lot easier.
SLI is working like it should now and other bugs are history too.

Here is some Quad SLI scores, which I did just a moment ago.

    QX9650 (On water 4250-4300MHz)
9800GX2 Quad SLI (On air, no mods)
    Foxconn Dreadnought 790i Ultra
    G.Skill DDR3 HZ 2GB
    Thermaltake 1200W
    Drivers: 177.39 (Nvidia PhysX)

great results sf3d, gx2 seem relatively strong in vantage but they really get hurt with the physx stuff!

i did some quick testing last night, trying to find max stable cpu clocks, i think im sitting around 5590~mhz for entry and performance

    Nice results so far SF3D.

The new bios fixes the video freezing and data corruption also ?

    /rant
Almost a month now since it's official release, yet none are available for sale and no one seems to know when it will come out.

Kind of makes a review on the "retail version" pointless if no one can buy the board.

I hope to get my CPU to 5.6GHz too.

Do you have 3x 280GTX? If so, let's rock with this motherboard

GTX 280 3 Way SLI set arrived.

    New toys arrived today.

These cards are really powerful, but it's a pity, that SLI is not working efficiently on 3-way SLI systems. Only Vantage and 3DM03 is showing, what these cards can really do. Vantage H and X frame rates are impressivley high comparing to 9800GX2.

Here is my first tests. I'm just starting to get used to these cards

(Sorry, I used 177.39 drivers and PhysX support)

Well you just might see this with my QX9770 and Raid, saddly only SLI as I cannot run TRI-SLI on my rig because I need the slot for the ARC-1231ML controller card.

I am just awaiting the release of this board.
