That chart makes me warm and fuzzy inside. GTX 260, HERE I COME!
For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.
.
.
I hope GTX 280 outperforms 9800gx2 by a great margin.
After all, its shaders are 50 % more effective. I will buy it if it does very good.
Man, this is exciting, kind of like getting an 8800GTX in 2006!!!!
lol, the 280 will be replacing my 8800gtx haha!
for the glory of bardob!

That is one long card. Will it fit into an antec p182?

6+8 connector for power , this card is again going to be an extreme furnace. Why cant nvidia use a design based on the 9600 GT ?
Now i am become death , the destroyer of worlds.
Ugh, the fets on this thing are a nightmare to sink, no way to fit the under a single sink and no way for even RAM sinks due to those cercaps right next to them.
Dammit nV, put some effort to yer PCB designs!
I wonder what's the part# of the chip above the fan connector...
btw,
This card is not standard height. It's very close to 90mm - standard full height PCIe card is 98.5mm.
edit:
It would appear that:
- the mounting holes are not G80-compatible ()
- PCB is clearly ~10mm shorter and narrower than G80GTX
- GPU IHS is ~4mm larger than G80

Anyone know if Nvidia will include a 6 to 8 pin converter with the 280GTX?
My PSU only has two 6 pin PCI-E connectors...![]()
Core i7 4790K // CM Hyper 212+ // Asus Z97-Pro (BIOS v.1304) // GTX 780 DCII
Corsair XMS3 2x8GB // Intel 335 SSD (240GB) // Corsair HX650W // Lian Li PC-A10
The more (grounds) the merrier.
Likely the 8pin is not mandatory, just as it is not for HD2900.

Smaller, but somewhat denser layout:

That's... big Oo
Huge huge die... god I hope the stock cooler is decent or else its aftermarket cooling right away
I see no die here.
That's the IHS...

There's gotta be a backplate or half of the RAM gets no love.
